    Favorite Trail:skullcrusher
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Purchased At:came off stock 04 p2
Strengths:i put steps on the lowers and turned the fork upside down...it works great as a pogo stick. if you get this on a p2, trash the bike cuz it totally sucks and just use the fork...its worth at least twice as much as the whole bike itself!!

i get a lot of "damn, its an EXR comp!!! ive wanted one for years! can i hav ur autograph??" and hot women chase after me waving their phone #s. i showed it off at work once and the next day i got a promotion and a raise.
Weaknesses:people try to steal my new pogo stick when they see me freestylin' down the street. also when this was mounted on my ugly worthless p2, the forest rangers were after me a lot...the fork was so good i would ride straight down the hill without a trail and obliterate all trees and wildlife in my way and fly off 30ft drops and not even notice. i was slapped with a cease and desist order, reason "fork is too hardcore" and i also got a $10 fine. oddly enough fines from forest destruction are covered under the warranty...i guess marzocchi knew how awesome the fork would be!!!
Similar Products Used:my 10 year old friend back in my neighborhood in MN had a kewl pogostick, but it just doesn't compare.
    Bike Setup:stock '04 p2, Marzocchi EXR Comp
Bottom Line:this fork is worthless. buy it as a joke only, or put it on your kid's tricycle. it may make a good doorstop too.

if you put this on your bike, it will jackhammer you even if you roll over a hair. i swear it amplifies shocks, not absorbs them. going down a smooth trail with no obstacles its fine, but once you hit a few small bumps or roots, it feels like a size 10 earthquake.

    Purchased At:My local bike shop
Strengths:Maintenance free, no need to check whether it needed oil air etc etc
Weaknesses:for the price, i have no complains at all
Similar Products Used:RST, SYNC, Marzocchi MX Comp
Bike Setup:SRAM x9 complete set, Truvativ Fire X crank set, MArzocchi EXR Pro, Mavic Crossride, Avid BB7
Bottom Line:Please dont say i dont know whether this is an MX comp but yup my EXR Pro is elastomer + coil springs as it is OEM version produced for OEM bike setup. The way bike company cut cost but the suspension is good in terms of ride feel and the performance doesn't match the price at all. For a fork at this price, it surpasses my expectation and perform very well. I wish i had the oil ones but it is OK, i never have to check anything at all and have more time to think about other things hehe

Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Purchased At:came with bike
Strengths:I've had this fork for 6 years, I've beat the crap out of it... and it keeps on tick'n! Just recently it started bottoming out, just needed to replace a leaky air valve. It's been through XC trails in Banff, Canmore, and now lives in Mammoth and So Cal... it's invincible! I'm also a downhiller -obviously I have a different setup for that, but - I haven't had any problems with the "clicking" noise that a couple reviewers mentioned.
Weaknesses:None so far... not bad, after 6 years.

    Date Reviewed: June 22, 2007
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $300.00
Strengths:This fork is very, very very(did I say very?) stiff, tuff and reliable. I've used this for first as a cross-country fork on a cross-country bike (it's what it's intended for by the way you 15 foot droppers...) and It did the job very well. Then I discovered freeride... and this baby got a nasty beating since then lol until I changed bike to better fit my needs. Nonetheless It doesn't ask for more but it doesn't hate it either. By the way, I find this fork to be stiffer than my Marzo All Mountain 3...
Weaknesses:Well, it's got 100mm (4") of travel, but remember it's a cross-country fork. It's only got preload adjustments, but they work well.
    Similar Products Used:Marzo All-Mountain 3, Marzo Drop-off 4, 888, 66, DirtJumper 1.
Bottom Line:For a cross-country fork, it can withstand severe (SEVERE) abuse. It's a very durable, stiff, smooth and durable (man i really got to stop saying that lol). I wouldn't even hesitate to use it for light Dirt Jumping and Urban assault so much it's tough.

Strengths:This is for the 2004 EXR Pro, spring, 100mm travel. Affordable, long travel, well damped. Quasi-external preload.
Weaknesses:A litle heavier than some, but not bad. Damping only adjustable by oil weight.
    Similar Products Used:RST-Gila T5, Rock Shox Mag-10
    Bike Setup:Trek 4300 disc.
Bottom Line:My trek just got stolen and I'm building up a 2001 Trek STP 200 frame. Let's put it this way, I got another EXR Pro 100mm spring fork to put on it! It's got plenty of travel for xc riding, almost too much for some things. But it's saved my bud when I didn't pick the best path through a rough patch of roots or rocks that would have sent me over the handlebars otherwise. I REALLY like the way this fork feels. If you don't want to spend over $300 on a fork, look for a EXR Pro.

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:Holds my wieght very well and they look good.
Weaknesses:I find that they click when they are fully depressed. The guy at the shop told me with the the coil bending out and hitting the casing but I don't beleive that, I think he's full of shi@t. I have ridden motorcross for years and never heard anything like that.
Similar Products Used:I use to have the Roch Shox Judy TT and Manitou Axel. The EXR Comp is definetly a better fork. Smooth and easy to adjust to different conditions.
Bike Setup:2005 Oryx full suspension Xcountry bike. XT components, Fox Float R rear shock with Hayes disc brakes
Bottom Line:These are good forks for the amount they are worth. I do not like that clicking noise they make but other than that, they are a great ride. They are not too heavy and you can fit a pretty aggressive tire in them.

Bike Setup:GT ruckus (all day playing around setup)
Bottom Line:came on the bike so i used them for about a month until the all mountains came through. cheap and cheerful xc/light freeride fork. good all round budget fork ideal for the serious beginner. can handle up to about 4ft drops without complaining. solidly built, slight flex but nothing too wayward. Marzocchi have been building forks since 1949 so a very distinguised pedigree (ask anyone into motorbikes). So i would recommend as an ideal first fork.

I have done some 6-7 foot drops, and everything is allright with the fork, it din't break. I don't understand how people breaks this fork doing a 4 foot drop. Maybe they are diving on front wheel?
