I took off my Z1 Sport forks that had came with my bike because it was to soft and too hard to set...also their are air leaks in the Z1 Sport suspension. I bought the DJ 3's and they are alot tougher. I have had no problems with these shocks so far.
very good suspension for bikes. these dirt jumper 3's are a must buy. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I like the fact that your front wheel is locked in and there's no way it's gonna fall out... no hard landings... soaks bumps up good | | Weaknesses: | makes weird noises once in a while...*or it could be my hydraulic brakelines compressing* I have never been able to figure it out | | Similar Products Used: | The 3 inch version | | Bike Setup: | Rocky Mountain Flow 3.0 | | Bottom Line: | Beware of landing nose heavy. You have been warned... Went off a jump that gave about 3 feet of air... went dead sailor and totally landed nose heavy... made a weird noise. I think it almost bottomed out. I have taken it off larger jumps and it is fine. This fork even cuts it okay as an trail riding/xc/urban commuter fork. It worked well during some dual slalom runs and an easy downhill course. It handles drops and rocks well too. I have liked it a lot but am still looking to upgrade eventually to a rock shox pike... because my flow deserves way better that a dj3. Dj3's make good begginer forks...Just no nose heavy landings | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Recommend heavier weight oil over standard as rebound is harsh and can buck if you are not a heavy bloke. Use my bike for everything Nz downhill courses local trails and jumps. Have beaten them on english downhill tracks (bringewood, fort william etc) never had any problems. Drops do not bother them (saved my nuts many a time)Now run only 8lb air and 10w oil and are sweet for my weight (76Kg). Ridden lots of other forks and none feel as secure (single crown) would like to change as they are old but only the fox 36 feel stiffer and are the price of a complete bike. They have seen far less servicing than the rear of my kona which has been through two shocks. A good fork that lasts which it is what its all about. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
