Strength:

Amazing traction

Weakness:

Weight, but thats with all studded tires

There is snow on the ground from October till May where I'm from.

These tires are amazing. Super fast, tons of traction. Barely have to sacrifice any speed on my 20 km of commuting a day. Works really well on snowmobile trail rides too!

Strength:

These tires stick really well on snow and ice and work well enough on slush. I use them for casual riding mostly when there's snow out so i don't wear out the studs prematurely.

Weakness:

Lost one stud almost immediately after my first ride but haven't lost one since.

If you ride a lot in the winter and are looking for a great all-round winter tire that'll grip on ice and snow, you can't go wrong with these.

fortbing   Cross Country Rider [Apr 02, 2010]
Strength:

Bites through snow and ice, amazingly while you watch other cyclists pushing and cars sliding, drop a gear and turn the crank, you'll never again push! there is no need to run them on tar before using.

Weakness:

heavy and drag a bit, but this tyre is for extreme winter cycling minus 10+

you can cycle with extreme confidence that you wont fall off if you hit unexpected ice. can be used on tarmac. the only draw back is drag, but with 240 spikes per tyre digging in what else would one expect. £50 GBP each tyre. will last for several season a great purchase for the intrepid cyclist enthusiast.

Norman Johnson   Cross Country Rider [Dec 25, 2007]
Strength:

Good traction on snow / ice / leaf covered trails

Weakness:

heavy, didn't handle laps on a slick frozen lake as well as expected (I thought they would stick like my old studded motocross tires would - wrong!)

These tires did well for intended use on trails with ice patches mixed with crusty snow - never crashed on some local trails, and only spun out on one steep climb. However, I was hoping to spin fast laps around a frozen lake, but had to keep it relatively slow with very gentle turns to avoid sliding on the glare ice.
