Weakness:

Weak, flimsy junk.

These came on my diamondback. I tacoed the front rim on a 2 foot drop, weak junk. I've beat the heck out of my Sun Single Tracks........still true after 8 years.....

The WTB speed discs were junk.

They worked great until they bent

Weakness:

Seemed to bend too easily

I haven't abused them too much but got rear ended today on the side of the rim and it bent the crap out of it and it wasn't a hard hit at all. And it bent it bad.

I have punished this rim!! I am 225lbs and ride hard, I built the wheel myself and have had no trouble with it at all, granted I dont do more than about 4 or 5 foot drops and this is an xc rim. maybe you guys that are haveing trouble with them should have somebody else build them for you or learn to use a little finesse when you are rideing

Weakness:

the only thing I dont like is the stickers on the side rub when I true it and the seam hits as well, I like to true to as near perfect as possible and use a dial indicator

I think they are a pretty darn good rim for the money, as for those downhillers and big air dogs that are bending them, you might want to try something other than an xc rim !!

Strength:

Good rim for light XC and light trail riding.

Weakness:

The first time i went riding the rim bent i got it fixed then it got bent again. I only weight 140lbs. The rim is not real wide only 24mm.

The rim is good for light riding but once you start to go fast over rough terrain then the rim will get bent. The rim dosent take drops very well either. I had a hard time putting my 2.4 motorapors on the small rim. But i bought sun singel track wheelset and they work great no more bending and the singletack rims are really wide.

This rims is super strong despite the fact that it is a XC rim. I've used it on my Trek Fuel and abused it and now I changed to Stinky Primo and still using it. It to 5 foot drops to flat 4 times without any problem. Fell many times, knocked by car a few times and still the same. Was bent but can be bent back and no strength is lost.

Weakness:

A bit too narrow for me to fit wider tires.

Great

It is a piece of ………….

Weakness:

How could a company put such a piece of crap out on the market. I for sure would not want to put my name or associate my self with such a cheaply built wheel. One day of moderate single track and these bent to the shape of the giblets I was going over. Rim is completely dead if it could be trued; TEACH ME YOUR MAGIC.

I just got the bike today and a little stoked about a dual suspension bike. With 120mm up front and 190mm travel in the back. Right after leaving the store I got dropped off at flattop parking lot (not yet excited about climbing a whole bunch on a rear suspension bike). So it’s a moderate downhill and while taking it easy going down some Key single track, hit some roots and err, errrt , errt, it was tweaked and rubbing. Really bummed me out, I was just becoming the Buzz kings biggest fan. If you need a rim for a wheelchair, this would make a rally chair.

Weakness:

Easily bent

I have finally found time to ride after owning this bike for 5 years. Originally I would ride urban, now I am really enjoying the trails of North Florida. After about ten moderate rides, jumping anywhere from 1'-6' I have seriously bent my front rim meeting a standing 12" tree at about 15mph. Needless to say the rim looks like that mungaloid from the goonies. These rims servived quite a bit of abuse until then, and even after I hit the tree I was able to hobble out on the bike 3 miles. I weigh 180 lbs, and really enjoy doing drops etc on this bike and they held up.... I don't think they ever stayed true, but I am sure I have got my moneys worth out of them. OK if you are a beginner, but for any one who is going to get serious, spend a little money tight wad!
