Shimano XTR HB-M965 Hub

XTR disc brake hubs are splined, instead of drilled-and-threaded like conventional types. The XTR Rotors are riveted to a splined aluminum spider to reduce weight and to keep the steel rotor running straight when temperatures are high. A threaded lock ringexactly like the one that secures the cog set fixes the rotor to the hub.

Strength:

Smooth and easy to service

Weakness:

None

I was going to buy a set of King hubs and have them built, but the cost of building a frame from the ground up started to force me to look at some money saving alternatives. I buddy of mine had a set of these that he was not using and gave them to me for a few items that I no longer needed. Great build onto a st of WTB dual duty FR hoops, and I could not be happier. Better than any other set of wheels I've used. The Kings will happen down the road, just no need yet. I like them
