Clement FRJ 29er Tire

Clement FRJ 29er Tire

DESCRIPTION

The FRJ's unique tread features low profile center knobs with plenty of open space, a design which ensures a speedy roll yet also increases the tire's ability to shed mud. Larger side lugs bite down in the corners, so you stay upright in loose conditions, and a Kevlar reinforcement spans the sidewall and tread for hassle-free performance on the trail.

Strength:

This tire has a high volume casing, and is true to size at 2.25" wide. The knobs are very well supported and provide consistent and reliable traction over different surfaces.

Weakness:

At 662 grams per tire it is a little heavier than what I normally run.

The over all performance of these tires is very good. They are large volume tires and the grip is excellent running them straight or cornering. They have a very predictable transition from side knob to side knob and hold a line even on off camber turns. I would describe it as a great intermediate tire that grips well on hardpack, soft loam, and sticky mud. The knob height is similar to that of the Maxxis Ignitor so they can be overwhelmed with thick greasy mud. The tire strikes an effective balance between straight line speed and grip. I would recommend these to anyone that wants a fast all around tire that is durable.
