This may be a value oriented shock, but value does not mean garbage! The Epicon line-up outperforms many of it's higher priced counterparts and for a fraction of the price. This shock provides nearly 6" of smooth, plush travel through my Teocali. I really beat the heck outta my bikes, and this thing has not so much as wimpered. Pressure holds fine, rebound adjust functions great. I don't know how this shock would hold up on other frame designs, but I do not have pedal bob issues with my freedrive. Some bikes require a platform shock for efficient climbs, and this may not be the shock for them. If your bike can function well with a regular shock, though, then save some money and spring for one of these!
