Strength:

-Remote Lockout
-Works Nicely
-Durable
-Looks Nice

Weakness:

-Rebound adjustment is in a hard to reach place

I rebuilt my 2001 Giant NRS with this shock and it has been working very nicely.
I've been riding on it for about a year now. It holds air great and has not given me any trouble.
There are not many controls to dial this shock in like you might find with other more expensive products (eg. Fox, RS Monarch). The Ario RLR gives you control over: air spring, rebound, and lockout.
I'm a cross country rider who does not stray from some technical downhill sections. For cross country and singletrack, this shock has performed wonderfully. It has made steep and bumpy descents much more managable. It also performs well when landing after small jumps, stumps, and logs.
Overall, this shock performs nicely. Adjust it once and ride :)
