Strength:

Adjustable 100,120 and 140mm. Plus and reliable. Correct pressure settings are a bit lower then a more expensive fork but once set up correctly performs very well for xc and all mountain riding. A little choppy but can't beat the performance for the price point. Excellent product and well worth the money!

Weakness:

Could use compression dampaning.

Excellent fork for someone not willing to throw down 800-1200 for a fox. Worth every penny!

Strength:

Light, plush, doesn't bottom out easily, remote lockout

Weakness:

Rebound adjust limited, dirt gets through the seals quite easily, not as easy to get service or parts as bigger names in most countries.

So far this has proven to be a very good value fork. It's substantially lighter than the lower-priced spring forks (1700g) and so a good choice for someone looking to lighten their bike fitted with say a Suntour XCR or just to improve the ride. It's as nice to ride as a fork costing twice as much. I'd say it's most suited to general XC and trail-riding use as it's not a tank-built downhill or jump fork. Overall a very good buy as long as it lasts.

Strength:

Low cost

Weakness:

Its not made that great

Well I would say for the price it is ok its not that great and looks cheap. The dust seals are not tight so dirt goes behind them very easy and that can scratch the fork. If I compare it to a fox fork that I have sitting in front of me now it looks like a toy. The only reason I purchased this fork was because I was being inpatient and the reviews seemed good. Obviously the people reviewing the fork never used a good fork this thing is so chincy lol. Yeah so the Epicon is good for the price but its not that good like everyone is saying it is a cheap fork you get what you pay for lol. So if you are on a budget than his fork is ok but I would go with a rock shox recon or something because this thing is chincy. Just a waste of money and it looks so cheap compared to others. I would rather save longer next time and get a good fork

This fork makes long climbs feel like your using a rigid fork (when not locked). I enjoy all the rough trails/roads baguio and benguet have because EPICON makes the ride smooth. BUY THIS FORK!!! IT'S ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED!!! AND IT'S CHEAP!!!

Strength:

It's like riding on a well damped marshmallow, its also adjustable to 140mm no matter what Epicon fork you buy (How to video on website)

Weakness:

The badass satin black will scratch

I would buy this fork again (If i needed one) I would tell a friend to buy this fork (If they needed one) Look it's like riding a hot knife through a field of butter and I paid $138 plus shipping from unreal cycles for it you cannot find a better air fork for that price!!!!

Strength:

140mm travel, very plush, reliable rebound adjust.

Weakness:

No compression adjust.

What is SR Suntour up to?! Nice long travel, incredibly plush, and... wait... how much do these things cost? You can pick them up for about the same price as a pos rock shox dart 2 or 3!! Incredible value for the price! Incredible performance! I run mine at about 120psi and run this thing down brutal dh's and it begs for more. No leaks, no pressure loss, just reliable performance. Only thing I've had to do is remove the rebound adjuster knob and hex and firmly seat the hex in the knob to avoid loose spinning. Besides that, flawless!!!

Ive been using the sr suntour rld 100 2009 model for about 3 weeks. the performance is great. it works well on rough roads, as if no bumps. it works almost the same as my manitou scareb platinum 100it.

Weakness:

none so far.

great fork. don't think of the cheap price, but look for the performance of the fork. it works well on cross country and all mountain riding...

Strength:

-Air system, easy to tune between trail or street
-Hydraulic rebound damping works too good
-Pretty stiff for a fork in its class
-Holds up to drops well, survived an 8 footer with a 80kg rider on it
-Looks good?
-Able to change the amount of travel(go download suntour's workshop manual for a picture guide)

Weakness:

EXTREMELY hard to find as there is no Suntour distributor in Malaysia...

I'm from Malaysia and mostly i do street almost everyday with some amount of downhilling during the weekends and i weigh 80kgs..

Bought this fork after reading TONS of reviews and finally decided to buy it after locating a bike shop near my area who still have one more unit in hand....

got ths fork for RM430 which translates to roughly USD130 and it was hell worth my money...

used this fork in a DH competition when it was still set to 100mm travel and surprisingly it survived an 8ft drop as if it was nothing..

for an air fork, this fork is surprisingly plush and reliable,at least plusher than my friend's Marz AM3 which is kinda sticky and have an annoying tendency to top out like mad and i kinda digg the sound of the hydraulic rebound damping working...

recently i've discovered a complete Workshop Manual available for download on suntour's website under the downloads section and was very much surprised when i saw one of the topics was 'how to convert the travel of an Epicon Suspension Fork' and followed the guide completely and after 10 minutes of tinkering, managed to get my 100mm fork to a beefy 140mm travel fork....

bottom line is this fork have extremely good value for money, requires minimum maintenence and looks cool in its full black casing+stanchions...

costs half the price of a Marz AM3(2007) but performs twice as good...

5 flamin' chillies for its extremely cheap price but definitely not cheap in performance

Strength:

looks good for me
if you want more ore less travel its easy to convert
absorbs good
I love the remote Lockout
air preassure damping can be very well adjusted to your needs

Weakness:

no posing quality :-)
no rebound adjust
the originally used oil was not ideal
no v brake and max 180mm disc diameter

I bought the fork in Feb. 2008 at my local dealer for nearly 200€ allthough you can get it much cheaper, the price is nearly unbeatable for the quality you get here, the fork worked well frome the first day on, but last week i tuned it a little bit, i converted the travel from 80 to 100 mm, which is quite easy (you just have to take out one spacer, if you take out 2 or all the three spacers inside you can go up to 120 or even 140mm travel) however I also put some new oil in (7,5w motorex) and since I did that it works really good I use my bike for my daily way to work and its like flying through the city now. I also testet it yesterday for its mtb qualities and it really worked great in its natural environement, stones, rocks roots and whatever comes in your way, absolutely no problem!!!
I can only recommend it, allthoug i have to admit its the first "good" fork I have not testet the rebas or fox forks that my even work better, but if you need a good and solid fork that makes a lot of fun in the mountains, GO FOR IT!!!!
