Strength:

Outstanding race coverage, incredible photography

Weakness:

That nutty British English! It's like they have a different word for everything!

If you love racing, you'll love this magazine. I haven't found any other mag that gives better coverage. Hey, if Phil Liggitt is involved, it's probably world class. And it is. The graham watson and phil oconnor photography is often suitable for framing. Very slick presentation and always interesting articles. None of the short attention span crap you get with Bicycling magazine. It's a little expensive for a magazine, but I think it's worth it.

Strength:

great photos

Weakness:

occasionally noddy articles, and if you thinks its out of date and expensive in the States, try tracking down a copy here in Oz.

Great photos and occasionally interesting articles. Race coverage tends to be quite superfical (apart from the TDF review issue) and the letters page is one of the worst in any publication (note to the world: I don't care what you think about Mario or Dicky, it's like reading a teenage fanzine sometimes).
Great photos still make it worth buying, but now its probably no longer even the best English language road racing mag.

Strength:

great photography, in depth stories, European race results

Weakness:

It comes from the U.K. so it is pricey, but worth it. It also runs a month behind.

This is no questions asked the BEST road racing magazine out there! If you love the Tour De France, Giro D'Italia, and the Vuelta D'Espana then this is the magazine for you. Has in-depth coverage of all of the major European races, and also has great team profiles (Have you ever wondered who those sponsors really are?). It is highly addictive so be warned. If you want riding tips then this is not for you but if you want to follow the Posties from Het-Volk to the world championships then this is a must have! Way to go Phil Ligget (editor) and Graham Watson (photos)!

Cycle sport has everything for it. The worlds best photographer Graham Watson also Phill ligget who is the the best englsih speaking commenator. I am 26 and i rmeber the days of winning magazine when it used to be great. When i was 12 i picked up these mags and read them back to back. In 1994 i read cycle sport for the first time and have been a loyal reader since. The mag is compleate. From equipment the pros use, to step by step race info its on the top of ever serious riders magazine list.

Weakness:

Well, at 6 to 7$ its not cheap at all. but its imported so that part of the reason. Its a great incentive if you order the mag from world cycling produtcions at 1-800-359-3107. I thinkif u are a first time subscriber they will give you a free video of thier collectins.. and trust me thier stuff is the best!

As i said if you are a serious cyclist and you really get into what happens in europe and what the pros do and win you cant go wrong with cyclle sport. Pricey yes, but if you love the sport and want the best I think its worth it. Cycle sport cant bet betterd, it coul only be copied, I dont think anyoone could do a better job

well, the euro mags will always be great. In america, cycling mags seem to be stuck at an enthusiasist level because cycling here isnt really popular. Thats why cycle sport is expensive, but its very worth it.

Best coverage I've ever read.

Weakness:

A little pricey, but it's worth it

I agree with the other reviewers. I must have seen at least a dozen other bike magazines and if you want road racing coverage, nothing even comes close to this. The in-depth articles are much better than anything I've seen in other magazines.

that the centerfold has a fold in it.

This is the best cycling magazine out there ( roadie ). I would pay 10 bucks an issue if I had to. I have had a subscription for 3 years and the price just dropped to 50 bucks a year. Well worth it.

This is THE BEST roadie mag on the planet! Edited by Phil Ligget, photos by Graham Watson and guest columns by Tony Rominger and David Millar. Sply put, this Magazine is worth the extra money you would pay to get it in the USA, because it's the best out there that is road race oriented. It can be hard to find, but try Books-A-Million or Barnes and Noble. Well worth the extra money over Velo-News. If I could give it a higher rating that 5, I would.
