Strength:

great treadwear, good all around traction

Weakness:

tends to collect mud easily

Great all around tire for me. Climbs well, good dry traction, pounds through the mud and the treadwear is great. I've been rocking these tires for 8-9 years and they still do the trick. Great bang for your buck...

Strength:

looks nice, lasts long, good gription on hardpack and has that killer name

Weakness:

These tires will make you lose your confidence when cornering. I tend to use the breaks way more now in the corners because these babies will lose their grip and slide

Sort of expensive, don't be lured in to by the sweets looks, these are evil. They are good for xc hardpack stuff but not good for me. They came with the bike so what can you do.

p.s. watch the loose corners!

Strength:

Long wearing

Weakness:

Poor cornering, middling to poor traction, vibration

Don't buy this tire. My Continental Goliath semi-slicks are better off-road than these. These tires will wash out unexpectedly in cornering, especially where the ground is a little soft or sandy. Terrible grip on rock and roots as well. Definitely not an East Coast tire.

Strength:

Low-ish rolling resistance. Light weight. Great durability. Cool looking...BUT...

Weakness:

The front MoFo is a hazard!!! It washes out with NO warning whatsoever. Terrible performance in anything not absolutely dry.

How a bike manufacturer who hails from the slime of western Canada ever spec'd these on one of their bikes is beyond me. Wet performance absolutely stinks. What's more, the front tire gives you ZERO warning before it washes out. So you'll be zipping along fast singletrack one minute and sliding down the hill on your back the next.

To be fair, this isn't a terrible tire in dry, hardback conditions, especially the rear tire. But even in the dry, I have to be really careful with the front tire getting sketchy on switchbacks.

The tire is very durable, though. In a year of tough riding on rocks and roots, not one pinch flat. Pretty amazing.

Where this tire excels is for the rider who rides the occasional horse trail or fire road but spends most of his/her time on pavement. I cycle commute to work twice a week and the tread still looks brand new.

But please, don't rely on these for anything resembling "real" mountain biking. You'll just wind up with a lot of bruises.

Strength:

price, good traction, look good too

Weakness:

none so far

I've only had the tires for about three weks, but they have not failed me yet in any terrain. I'e tried them in 5 inches of mud, good traction, tired them on dry single track, good traction, even cornering was good

Strength:

Look good, seems durable, price (both). Handle reasonibly well in mud, good climbing traction.

Weakness:

Front and rear corner terribly

Bought em on close out seeking a good deal. Both front and rear corner terribly. My Bonty Revolt SuperX semi-slicks corner better than these things and offer a much smoother ride. Stiff tire compound and knobbies gave off so much vibration that I would feel pain in my wrists afterwards. Contrary to some reviews here, they have handle well a few times in mud. Took them off and much happier now. A few people have commented these are more suitable to west coast riding (I am on the east),a and if you want them cheap let me know, maybe 650 miles on 'em.

Strength:

Hard compound, does not wear easily, good gripping on wet slip & muddy surface.

Weakness:

Threading side CRACK easily after i used it for 3 mths.

As compare to this tire with michellin, it do not last long due to the CRACK beside the threading so please don't buy this model of this tire. You may regret buying this tire can last for 3-6 mths.

Strength:

Moderately low rolling resistance.
Corners well
Good in the soft stuff

Weakness:

Climbing can be problematic
Gripping on roots is poor
Wet traction is not great

This tire is a great tire for my use: trail riding with some soft sand spots and limited climbing. Cornering is great in soft stuff but not wet stuff. Durability seems to be holding up well. I used IRC Pirhana Pros before this and they were better climbers and better at speed but the MOFO overtakes it on all else.

Strength:

Excellent in cornering, extremely low in rolling resistance to produce fast revolution, smooth while riding and does not built up any jerking during low speed.

Weakness:

None yet.....

Pretty good tire. Is much more lighter than the other tire. And the tire tread was well design so nothing to say but this tire is cost a reasonable quite. Do try it.

Strength:

Sheds mud good and great on new trails. They also have low rolling resistance for nobbies. Corner well as long as there isn't sand in the corner "ha ha."

Weakness:

Not as fast as semi-slicks but then again there not intended for "get on, sit down, shut up, and hang on speed." Wish they gripped better on hard packed up-hill climbs.

The bottom line is what ever the tire you buy is intended for, use it for that purpose. These happen to be all around cross country racing tires. Give them a try. For the price you just about can't beat them.
