This helmet saved my life after a big off coming down a hill. Landed on my head and rolled a few times but have no headache just loads of cuts down my arms and legs. The helmet cracked but stayed together ok.

Whoaaahhhh!!!! Nice looks, nice ventilation design, the most unique helmet ever built by GIRO cuz it has MX design. It has thick layer to protect our head from gettting hospital bill for head injury. The visor position was well attached and does not block the view.

Weakness:

I hate to stick back the pads! the glue spoils the day! wasting my time sticking the pad and Roc-loc strap even when I'm still riding on my bike thats horrible!

The helmet really rocks, handsome looks and hardcore protection and also cools your head down.

I bought it cuz it inherit genes from its grandpa whose name was SWITCHBLADE !
If you dont want to look like euro rodie looks but wanna look like MX rider, then this is the helmet for u!

But anyway the glue patch idea really $@ck$!!!!!!!
Damn glue!

Due Giro's unique helmet design. I'll give 5 flamin chilis!!

Strength:

Good fit, nice styling

Weakness:

The glue on the velcro peel & stick pads that attach the Roc Loc at the side of the helmet softens from the heat generated during the ride and come off, making the Roc Loc attachment device pretty much useless. LBS tried to fix it with double sided tape; didn't last one ride. e-mailed Giro and they said maybe the pads were not installed properly and they would send me a new set. That was a month ago - nothing yet. When you pay big bucks for a helmet, it is a joke to have such cheap attachment systems.

Nice fit and good looking helmet, but they went cheap on the most important aspect; a helmet is no good if it won't stay on! Lousy customer service too!

Strength:

Excellent ventilation (i can feel the air blowing through!), the visor is removable, Roc Loc, looks cool i guess, covers more of my head than my last helmet did

Weakness:

the straps are extremely susceptible to velcro, meaning that if they keep brushing up against it, they fray easily; sits kinda high

this is a gret helmet, especially at the prices that i am now seeing it advertised at online. A coupe of the reviews for it said were expressing concern about the weight of it, well, i never though of the weight of it once till then, so unless you are a wimpy girlyman, then go ahead and complain. excellent helmet, little pricy.

Awesome fit, feels like it was made just for my head. Can be worn for extended periods.

Weakness:

Weight maybe too heavy for XC racers

This is a great MTB helmet the ROC LOC system fits like a glove. Not too heavy for me, muuuccchhh better than any Bell I've tried. The weight may bother some but I can't complain with the fit. Good helemt for anyone who enjoys getting in the dirt and having fun.

Strength:

Nice fit, good ventilation

Weakness:

* a tad expensive
* velcro (inside the helmet) is not glued properly

The helmet served me well right up to the point when I crashed: and yes, it did do precisely what it was supposed
to, save my head. The crash warranty is a nice feature too.

An irritating moment is the velcro coming off: I cannot comprehend why Giro can make a decent helmet, but can't glue the pads properly. But then again, nothing a superglue won't fix in a matter of seconds.

Overall -- a good helmet.

Looks good, Roc Loc keeps the helmet in place, lots of vents, built so it can take a beating, available in bright yllow, excellent Giro reputation.

Weakness:

After a while the adhesive stuff that holds the straps in place can come lose....nothing some duct tape or super glue can't fix, a little expensive

An awesome, functional, good looking helmet that does everything a helmet should.

For inline skating one of the best. Light weight, excellent ventilation, very comfortable. If you are an inline skater looking for a super helmet to protect your brains, and if you can find it discounted, buy it. For retail, see if Giro has fixed their visor and pad sticking problem yet.

Weakness:

Like others, had a problem with the visor not staying in place, and the pads inside the helmet. Fixed with a hot glue gun. If I had paid full retail, they would have gotten it back in a heart beat. But, I bought the last years model on a closeout so I really can't complain. Its fixed and works fine now.

For value and comfort I rate it a solid 4, for manufacturing quality, only a 3.

Light, Execellent fit, comfort, style, ventilation; POV visor is a godsend, Roc Loc 2, STRONG

Weakness:

None

This helmet is awesome. I got it for 60 bucks at Supergo which is a steal for this helmet. It fits my head perfectly which is hard to find a helmet that does because I have a large head (7 3/4). It has great ventilation, even though it only has 18 vents because the vents are huge. The Roc Loc is awesome and keeps the helmet right in place. The problems people are talking about with the visors must be about older models because this years model has a secure snap on, adjustable visor. It is easy to take off and stays right in place. Also it is stylish for all you people that worry about that kind of thing. For cross country riding this is an awesome helmet. I have smacked it a couple times in pretty bad crashs and it has come out still looking like new. The In-mold hardbody shell is super-strong. Overall you can't get a better helmet for XC at this price.
