Strength:

good for road use

Weakness:

hardly work over a pot hole, and
when you introduce them to off road they seize on you and make awful grinding/twanging noises when put them under little pressure,
alot of back and forth play in the fork legs which caused me to loose control and shatter my collar bone when falling off on a technical section of track

wont even advise you to them let alone your worst enemy because they are that bad

Strength:

Light, Tough, Simple Design, can handle Heavy Riders.

Weakness:

Not yet discovered for my 3 years of use of this product.

A good choice for an average bike, but quality rules, nice quality, Money's worth is achieved.

Strength:

I use RST281-TL 2002, which is adjustable, not noisy, stiff if you want it to be so, black, proud & beautiful :))...

Weakness:

None I am aware of. I did not experience any noise or so, it did not botton out, since I set it to be hard...

Very good even for advanced crosscountry riders. As you know, probably not good for anything harder (downhill), but I never tested it for this. For the price I would recommend it to my best friend.

Strength:

Don't bottom out at first till you pick up the pace at the trails. Nice, sleek, and black,

Weakness:

Not good for downhilling at all!!! I cleaned and lubircated after every ride, still something spews out from the top and bottom. No travel what so ever, Get's you over the little pebbles but hills and roots, don't even try.Non-adjustible. Extremely heavy!

Bottom Line, U can pick this up for like $75. There good for novice trails, pebbles and tiny roots, but horrible for intermediate or higher. Don't try going down hills with these, big hills, CLANG........small hills it goes ok. Maintenance is a pain and could cost a lot. It's the lowest quality product from RST, though they do have some good ones out there. Just depends on what type of rider u are. Hope that's good for ya! Pay nothing more than $80 for this!

Strength:

Actually took the edge off some bumps

Weakness:

Not sealed very well. RST logo. Not adjustable. Loud.

Worked okay for the first year, even with some pretty hairy riding at times. Eventually, became very loud and it sounds like you're doin it on a squeaky old bed now. I've been wanting to replace it since I bought the damn bike, now I finally will. Don't even think about putting this piece of crap on your bike, and don't buy a bike that has this on it.

Downhiller

Strength:

Strong, I have been riding down some rocky trails and landing off some 4ft drops/jumps without bending/breaking them (although they do bottom out)

Weakness:

Not much travel, but then they are not sold for downhill/freeride, they're made for light crosscountry, what do some of those idiots below me expect?

Strong, but NOT a downhill fork. Duh.

Strength:

It is nice and bouncey and handles well. I've had no problems with it so far. Good for begginers and people like me who can hardly wheelie!

Weakness:

It has only 65mm travel and it isn't adjustable.

If you are on a budget or you just want suspension for riding about on then his is perfect. If you want better I'd get 381's or even Rock Shox.
