Strength:

Sustainable behavior, Little maintainance needed, Good response on only short travel

Weakness:

Short travel, Too flexible arms

Basic performance fork. Has an efective travel of about two inches, and if lubricated, perform well in this range. As a result, no hi-jupms are recommended, but still, this fork delivers the goods while on track with seldom fun jupms (but not on real off-road XC).

I got too irritated by its flexibility, that produces unbearable vibration while going down a slope. But still, for its price, you cannot raelly axpect for more.

Strength:

Does something.

Weakness:

Does nothing except on big bumps, it is a piece of crap! Tried it and a front wheel would work just as well.

This fork should be pulled off of any bike(you could probably do it by hand without any tools) and thrown in a pool of sulphuric acid and then have its remains quartered by four horses, and then buried where nobody will ever see the hideos thing again. Don't get this fork and avoid any bike with it on it. You should buy it if you don't have anything holding on your front wheel and you just want to be cool because you have front shocks(if you can call them that!)

Strength:

To be honest, it doesn't really have any. The only thing that even remotely comes to mind is that its very simply designed and therefor not much can go wrong.

Weakness:

You DO NOT get the 2.5 inches of travel, you don;t get much at all. Worse yet, once you take the shock throuch some serious mud or water IT WILL BIND!! Had a sweet 3 hour ride today, got a little wet and the RST is completely frozen... You're not supposed to service this shock, it's basically a throw away, but since it's already frozen who cares... It's playtime... more to follow...

It was good casue it came with the bike... I actually expected it to last way less than it did. It managed to give me two good years so for that I can't complain. Don't buy this shock outright and don't buy a bike just casue it's on there. If you like the bike and the 260 is already on there than that's a plus. Just keep in mind you'll be upgrading it soon... It's a little better than nothing, but you'll wear it out....

Strength:

None

Weakness:

Definatly not 2.5 inches of travel. Feels more like 2.5 millimeters of travel :)

The kind of shock that a beginner that had never even seen a shock before should buy. That way he would think it is cool that it moves when he hits a gigantic bump. But really it stinks. Although it shouldn't give you much trouble as far as flex goes. It is a strong shock. I definatly can't wait to get enough money to buy a good shock.

Weakness:

everything. they rattle, they buttom out easy.

this shock are made for kids. They do not perform great at any downhill trails or in other words they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this RST 260 shock are not worth purchasing and should be pulled off any bike shops or stores. Rst should recall this model 260 because they are not durable and very dangerous for bikers. Salesmans at all the bike stores should not lie to customers about these shocks.

Strength:

Slows down someone who tries to steal it

Weakness:

Heavy, 1mm of travel, ugly, stopped moving, makes loud noises when put under pressure, makes my bike worse than my dads old trek with no suspension

Don't buy a bike if it has an rst on it, If your bike has an rst throw it away before it kills you. I think rst should be banned motiv should be put out of business. Do not buy a toy store bike. Do not by a bike that was not originally from a bike store. This fork is great for a kid from india. Maybe he could stick a net on it and play jai a'lai(high lie)
