Strength:

cheap, good travel

Weakness:

plastic threads on the lockout and maybe the same on the travel adjustment??? The lockout popped right out on a 2 foot dropoff and sprayed oil everywhere. You can't find a kit to fix or rebuild it

It would be a really good fork if it didn't have those plastic threads on that fork. who would put plastic on metal and expect it to hold on some pressure like that. It was on racoon mtn. in chatanooga, tn

Strength:

This fork handled everything. jumps, 5 FEET, some drops, im a wuss, and of course logs and rocks. has worked well for 1 1/2 years

Weakness:

in the last half year the lockout stopped working, the rebound adgust got screwed up. it started to top out (rebound to fast) and bottom out.

really good, great feeling, but get a more tough fork if you plan to have it for a loooong time.(i wanted it to last till collage, thats three more years)

Strength:

Takes a liken keeps on tiken. Length of travel adjustment. Lockout for roading. Easy adjustment.

Weakness:

Seals starting to leak gonna need to replace. Does not come with manual for self repair. Will do it anyway hopefully won't wreck it. Make sure you follow set up guide if you over dampen on rough terain you could bottom it out this happens because not enough time for full rebound between hits.

Good solid fork for XC. have raced Albion Hills, Lake to Lake 50K, Paris to Ankaster 60K, trail ride Hardwood hills, the Pines, Ride the hydro cut 2 or more times a week. Bottom line this fork stands up to more than it should excellent value. Its not meant for huge drops so don't expect it to last if you use it for this. If your into full downhill or huge drops this fork is not for you. It is however good solid XC fork.

Strength:

I got the U-turn with the lock out. Rides nice, the lockout is cool for going uphill. Also the flexability of the adjustable travel is cool too.

Weakness:

U-turn knob cracked. Was only $15 at a local shop. Any years knob should work so you can get different colors if you want.

Great shock for the price. I don't take big airs, maybe 3' of drop at the most so far but it's held up to everything I've thrown it at so far. Good for cross country/ all mountain who doesnt have hundreds of dollars for a lightweight kick butt fork. could go for the air version to save weight but give up the option to adjust travel on the trail.

light weight, travel adjustment, rebound adjustments, lockout feature.

Weakness:

looks

this fork came installed on my 2006 gt id5. it's beenn great so far (about a year now). do both climbing and downhill and this fork has performed very well over all kinds of terrain. love the fact that you can adjust the travel and rebound...and the lockout feature comes in handy on climbs...and it you do hit a bumb in the road with the lockout engaged it will release before any damage is done. very sweet fork for the price. i'm 230lbs and it's never bottomed out on me.

Strength:

Adjustable travel, lockout.

Weakness:

U-Turn knobs feel cheap, though work well.

Great shock. Not sure that the above complaint is valid as it's not a freeride fork and if you're bottoming 125mm out on a regular basis you might want to consider something else. If I were racing seriously I'd probably want something a bit lighter but for recreation this fork is more than enough for me.

U-Turn knobs are plastic and can feel a bit cheap and can also be turned pas the functional extremes if not careful, resulting in a situation where, if you're not familiar with the fork travel, you might damage the mechanism. It even says as much in the manual.

Strength:

U-Turn, well built, looks damn good

Weakness:

Adjustment knobs feel cheap but still work well

I was surprised how well this fork worked, since it's basically the bottom feeder of the Rock Shox line. The U-Turn adjustment is fantastic. This shock works well for nearly all types of trail riding, and with the lockout, makes road riding real pleasant. It's a nice looking fork for a lower end bike, it's not too heavy, has plenty of adjustments, and provides a plush ride over the roughest terrain. It's no Reba, but it really wasn't meant to be. Compared to other forks in this price range, I'd give this one a 5 of 5.

Strength:

the travel adjustment is easy and "clicky" in its use. the rebound has a wide range of adjustjment and is easy to use. these forks perform very well for their price.

Weakness:

these forks could be plusher but for the price i played this is no real problem

i got these forks on sale half a year ago and have ridden them frequently since then. they perform very well considering the price. the adjustments are good (but i dont really use the lockout). i can get the full 125 mm of travel from these forks and like having the travel which i can adjust. compared to my old judy tt's these forks are a dream to ride.
i do find these forks work best when i grease the seals but this does not need to be done that regularly. while not the plushest forks, they perform very well for the price.
