Sinister Bikes DNA (frame) 2004 Freestyle Dirt Jumper

The DNA's heritage goes back to the legendary Metalhead and takes it one step further. Built for 4X, street or trails, the DNA can handle it all. DNA is made out of 6061 aluminum and is 100% made in the USA.

Standout features include:

  • An oversized 1.125 headtube (which is compatible with deep press headsets)
  • Beefy upper and lower headtube gussets
  • Proprietary one piece ISCG (International Standard Chain Guide) bottom shell
  • Machined out chainstay and seatstay yokes
  • Modular bolt-on rear dropouts, which can be converted from a fixed vertical dropout (standard) to an optional horizontal dropout with built-in chain tensioner.

    Strength:

its super fun to run when put together, strong, flick able, nice welds, also is very stiff. the bottom line is you can't go wrong with this frame, its just bloody wicked sexy bike.

    Weakness:

my sister's boyfriend can't stop riding it. :(

I have a beefy build on my bike. Yes my bike is a heavy build because of the components i have chosen. You can take this bike just about everywhere and still have fun riding for hours.

This is my true first dirt jump frame i got, I had a haro escape medium that was way too big for me. At the beginning i was very hesitant to get it- I believe i made a really good call on buying this frame, so far i have not regretted not getting it from what i paid.

If you are looking for sexy nice frame, get the sinister dna.

4 chillies for value, think the price could be a little cheaper.

5 chillies for overall, the quality of the welds and design are very nice. The frame is heavy duty and well built.

    Strength:

Stiff, Strong. The frame manoeuvres with the slightest touch and sprints beautifully. Not the llightest frame in the world, but in the medium size it feels perfect for a 6'4" rider. Great service from Sinister and Endo.

    Weakness:

    nil discovered

Far from the cheapest frame out there, but for the loyal service provided and the unending feeling of strength, it was well worth twice the paid price.
Don't skimp on this frame, build a bike around it of a simmilar quality, you won't soon regret it.

Ideal frame for those of you who have tried and killed other frames, or someone out of BMX looking to hop onto the "big wheels".

    Strength:

clean welding, good powdercoat, excellent maching, very solid when put together well.

    Weakness:

Maybe Kryptonite, outside of that NONE.

I Love my SINISTER DNA. Anytime and everyplace we have been has been a good ride, the only thing I hate most are Flats. I think the count is about 3 since Sin was built. I stand on my build, and choices of coponents. Truth is the rider/owner is the best judge. Riders like frames and components are differnt in size, skill, talent, displine, language, natural abilities. If it's all in the right place, there should be a balence of things going on. I think that your build/purchase should reflect what/how U do U. And for the AMBITIOUS at heart, being reckless ain't biking, test your limits, respect your bounderies. There is NOTHING funnier than the "After spending $1500-2000 on this really nice bike, and the before and After pics are like OHHHH and OUCH!!!! Feel me on that one. Respect yourself enough to be rightous across the board. Frank the Welder has left the building.

    Forever Sinister!!!

    ps.
I love my bike, love yours.

    Strength:

Clean looking frame, clean welds, replacable drop outs, made in the USA, geometry, drop out design.

    Weakness:

    None

This is my first real 26" dj bike. I had a haro escape 8.2 that doesn't even compair. Although the dna feels heavier that my other bike when I pick it up, it rides way lighter. It rolls through trasitions great. I can go through dj's so much better now and with a lot more confidence. It's very stable in the air. I love this bike.

    Strength:

Frame is well balanced to an uncompairable extent. strong, resonable weight (rolls and rides much lighter) replacable dropouts, tons of options, sick metal look and orange color

    Weakness:

    none

hands down the best bike I have ever ridden, was strapped for cash when i bought it, but knowing what I know now would have paid twice as much. I ride this bike on trails the majority of the time, it can climb and decend with amazing agility. awesome for campus /street riding, and a huge confidence booster in the dirt jumps. this bike can litterally do everything. constantly getting complements on it's looks as well. Frank the Welder's reputation is well deserved (I have a splinter on it's way to me now / but NO intention of letting go of the dna) there is no comparison to this, in any bike i have ever riden.

    Strength:

ncredibly strong and stiff. Huck and drop and gap yer ass off with it. Maneuvers with a flick of the wrist. Climbs like a mountain goat, too.

    Weakness:

It should come with some body armor. Other than that, none.

Probably one of THE best heavy-duty, HAND-MADE aluminum freeride/street/ dirtjump/ DS frames on the market. Looking for a little something extra(that doesn't weigh a ton) that can take whatever you can dish out? Whatever your style, if you can swing the cost, look no further. Certain manufacturers may make more rad-looking stuff, but they'll also want more money. THIS FRAME ROCKS. Thanks, Frank!!

Similar Products Used: XC stuff mainly, this is my first real freeride bike.
