Strength:

Frame design allows the smallest of children to start riding a bike. My boy was able to pedal and steer it before he could a tricycle. Metal mudguards. Chain is fully enclosed. Nice details in the tiger stripes and the seat has a tiger paw embossed.

Weakness:

Cheapo tires. Heavy. Newer models are decontented and sold at discount stores instead of bike shops like mine.

The bike is built like a tank. After two years of kid abuse, it still looks brand new (partly due to dad keeping it in the garage). My oldest son is getting ready to outrgow it, but it will serve my younger son too and most likely their kids. I'd love for him to get another Schwinn because the frame design is so good for small kids, but I probably won't since they're only sold in the Wal-Marts of the world now. Too bad, Schwinn has such a history. If you can find a 2001 or earlier bike, it will serve you well! The tires could be better, but at least it's easy to find matching replacements. 5 chili's for value because you get what you pay for - in this case decades of use.
