Strength:

really stiff not to much travel(i actualy like to feel the trail)it will take the big hits

Weakness:

needs to be tuned to ur weight pretty well(i recomend taking it to ur local shop) and i wish it had a lil easier to tune nobs

good fork and once there setup u dont need to do any tuning last for a long time and will do everything

Strength:

Lightweight. Stealth black. Easy to change oil and springs. Super easy to tune. Easy to get wheel on and off. Very progressive travel. Ramps up just when you need it most at the bottom of the travel. Rebound and Compression are very easy to adjust.

Weakness:

None

The single greatest aspect of this fork is that is doesn't require maintainence after each ride. It seems that some of the newer high end DH forks require you to tune them after every practice run. This is great if you have a mechanic sitting down at the bottom waiting for you. If your not Chris Kovarik this can be a problem. The 2003 Boxxer design definately had the privateer in mind. It is a true consumer/enthusiast fork that will perform for the pros. If you want a high end fork that will not cost you extra money down the road then consider a Boxxer.

As far as performance is concerned: I would be hard pressed to find another fork that feels better than this one. I mean there are forks that perform to this level but they cost more and require a mechanic to tune them. It feels great on the Super rough rocky sections as well as the smooth fast sections where you need to get low and corner.

Strength:

Durable, Lightweight, Great adjustment's, nice and plush

Weakness:

adjustment knobs, as the guy said it'd be nice if they where quick little knob's you could turn with fingers.

it's a Great fork, Alot cheaper than Dorado, DH3's etc and still works awesome, very tunable fork, durable fork it's a great fork nomatter what your skill level is at, Rock shox is doing Free Blackbox Kit upgrades to address the small issue with porthole sizing, *oil couldn't circulate fast enough and was occasionally blowing out the seals so i'm told*, mine is currently at rockshox getting the kit in for free so it should come back better than ever!

light and stiff

Weakness:

i think rockshox threw the internals out and replaced them with fisher price technology. the damping is totaly fecked. do what im going to do , either get them tf tuned or replace the internals with mojo boxxer carts ,
or buy some new forks.

get the damping sorted out and they should be fine.

and replace the bolts in the crowns with ones that are 5mm longer.

Strength:

Great strength/weight ratio, very stiff, good adjustability, feels lively, good price, makes me feel like Steve Peat

Weakness:

rebound adjustment doesn't do much, logos look like they're gonna fall off, would be nice to have external preload adj. too.

Great fork for racers, trailriders, medium huckers, and anyone else who needs a lightweight long travel fork. It's great. I love it.

Strength:

Light, super stiff, looks pretty good, great compression adjustment.

Weakness:

Rebound adjustment is pretty lame for a DH fork.

Fork is a great deal, great for a freerider or a racer, lots of adjustment. Changing the oil weight is the only way to slow rebound since the adjuster does next to nothing. Rock Shox has it going on except for that. Ti springs would be a nice option too

Strength:

this fork is wicked has the rebound adjustment very handy and low and highspeed adjustment i wish they were knobs u have to use the 3mm alan key thought the 5mm axel bolt to adjust them starting to ware down my alan key i adjusting the fork all the time to the riding i do gets to be a pain should put knobs like on the shiver or psylo to adjust the rebound and the low speed compression and another one for the high speed compression u have to take to lower bolt out to do that and a easyer way to for adjust the preload but its not that hard it would just save time. but this fork has been solid for me havnt noticed much flex like other peolpe say there is i found the 02 to have more flex. i dunno what that last guy was talking about he must of had a bad fork from factory or something 2 rides and leaking thats not right. your probley the 1-1000 that got unlucky.

Weakness:

it was a b*tch to get the drop crown on properly wouldnt fit right..had to preswade it with a rubber mallet. those rubber stopers are unless for my bike the drop crown hits the frame i wraped some rubber tape around my frame to protect it works good. and the stachions are turning color cause of the oil..

well for what it was built for DH Racing i'd say its one of the best out there whats everyone race on mostly BoXXer's or Dorados mostly Boxxers though very nice racing fork. so ill have to give it 5*'s also casue that last guy such a bad review for such a good fork gotta get the points back up.

Strength:

Good Looking , Externals set-ups , after the run in time it has a very smooth and progressive travel , low-maintence . Fork well-job work gets better with my special oils for external aplication .

Weakness:

Still too expensive , logos can drop out , i sow some upper crowns broke , mine still good , could have buttons for the external set ups , not allen keys ...only small things

Appears to be a excelent fork for expert/race riders , you can realy push the limits , boxxer can hadle it , ande it has so much stiffnes , it's great on turns , good deal for those kind of riders who don't have mechanical assistance .

Feels Like A$$!!!!!

This fork FEELS LIKE A$$!!! This is the biggest hunk of junk RockShox has ever put out!!! I don't know what the hell you people above have riden before if you think this fork works well. Rumor has it that Romic is working on internals to make this fork work properly! I hope this is true because if it's not look for my Boxxer Team to be posted for sale cheap on this site.
