Sporty Classic   [Jun 04, 2012]
Strength:

Excellent Value for entry level rider that is going to crash it a bunch
Stability
Tough as heck - takes a beating and doesn't break

Weakness:

Overall - heavy, duh, it's overbuilt
Seat - Too hard/thin for sitting on it. Gets damaged even on a dirt track slide crash- cheap easy fix
Chainwheel is heavy and not drilled but again overbuilt

I bought this bike new in 2003? My oldest has been been beating it up for a couple of summers riding it wherever he can without any concerns for the fact it is not a mountain bike to which I told him go ahead since I don't have to buy him an expensive mtn bike. Just this year the BB was a bit loose after only doing chain cleaning and adjustment for years.

Strength:

Light frame, cool looks

Weakness:

some components are pretty cheap

great bike, need to do a few upgrades to get the weight down to be competitive, but for the price i felt it was the best deal out there

Strength:

Nice package for price, Good looks, handles well

Weakness:

Heavy (but comparable with other brands)

I like this bike. My old 99 cruiser was a lot lighter (22 lbs) and accelerated quicker, but the 2002 is a lot more stable both in the turns and jumps. If I can trim a few more lbs this will be a great bike.
