Strength:

A very well made and very comfortable pair of bike shorts. I have been using them for about 3 months now, on quite a few short and long rides. Even though I'm fairly tall (6'2"/193cm) I did the right thing in picking the medium size, fits perfectly. The fleece lined knees are great in cold weather too, and the slightly extended back keeps your back warm. I like the look, you don't look like a roadie dork in 'em!

Weakness:

Haven't noticed any sofar.

I love these montezumas, and I know at least 3 bike riders here in town who use them all the time as well. I have just ordered a pair of Supertankers from groundeffect, hopefully they're just as good.

Strength:

Durability, comfort and value. Non shiney lycra material

Weakness:

Colour black is a little bland. Be nice to see their logo (as per Jungle Jims) on these shorts

Good value shorts. I ride year round and appreciate the fleece lined knees in the winter. The sewn in tyre repair patch is a nice touch.

Strength:

Super comfortable, hard wearing and good value. Perfect for early morning and evening rides.

Weakness:

Ziltch. The only time they are unsuitable is on very hot days.

These are my favourite bike shorts. If your knees have had a hard life, as mine have, you will appeciate the extra warmth from the fleece knee panels. Mine are torn- up on one of the knees from an intimate encounter with the road, but the extra padding certainly saved some skin. Apart from road rash, my Montezumas have held up wonderfully. Quality threads!

The long cut has a nice old-school look to them, and, my wife says they have a "slimming" effect - which has to be a bonus!

Strength:

Super comfy, the ground effect softail design is the best i've used yet. Built tuff- have stood up to a couple of good snags and scrapes that i was sure was going to rip them.

Weakness:

None so far.

The Montezumas were the first bit of kit i bought off Ground Effect and have impressed me so much they are all i really buy off now. The Softail padding has stayed supple and soft and there doesn't seem to be any wear and tear marks on any of the fabric yet. Exellent for rainy& windy or sunny & frosty. I only wish that Ground Effect had a factory retail shop so i could try on before i bought but oh well nobody's perfect.

Strength:

seem to be well made 3/4 length tights, non-shiny lycra type material.

Weakness:

none spring to mind.
Oh could do with alternative colours - black only.

Bought the 3/4 tights directly from Ground Effect who are based in New Zealand. They make good offroad kit and sell a lot of kit to the UK. I guess they have similar riding and weather to us here in Scotland. They design their stuf well - check out their web site.
The tights have no bib-like bit just like longer pair of lycra shorts. Fleecey lined on the inside of the kneecap area and chamix ( ? spelling )in the crotch of course. These stay put and keep me warm enough ( wind resistant ) so no wind chill. The first pair were so good, I bought an additional pair to wear when the 1st pair are in the wash.

Similar Products Used: more normal baggies or full length tights when the going gets really cold here in Scotland i.e.less than zero + wind chill factor.
