Nothing else like it
Provides great support

It's made of neoprene, so, hot.

I've used this brace on and off the bike for about a year, since "acquiring" a grade three AC separation. First, and perhaps most importantly, unless you get the version with a padded shoulder cup, it will not provide any protection, just support. This version, with the extra support piece, provides a great deal more support to separation-type injuries than the less expensive version. Err on the safe side and go with this one if it is a choice between the two, as you can always wear it without the secondary brace. Also, bear in mind this is not a replacement for a sling--it will not support the weight of a limp arm (but it certainly won't hurt).

The brace comes in a few sizes... the sizing information is available on EVS' website, but it is not easy to find. It is snug, and definitely restricts movement and breathing a bit, but the added support is well worth that specific downside. While wearing the brace, it does an admirable job of pulling my arm back into position, and wearing it for several hours/day for a week or so also helps to minimize the shoulder-slump common to higher grade AC separations.

Since researching the specific injury, and learning that many doctors are no longer recommending surgery unless the separation becomes life threatening, wearing the brace occasionally is definitely a good solution.
