Strength:

Super easy to rebuild. Feet stick to pedals like they are glued to them.

Weakness:

None se far.

Awesome pair of platforms. I was using the Crank Brothers 5050X previously and my feet would quite often slip off of the pedals. But not with these. I have all of the pins installed and my feet are stuck to them like glue. I will probably remove some of the pins as suggested by other reviewers. Incredibly easy to rebuild. Not the lightest set of platforms on the market and they do cost a bit more but if you want a pedal that you can rebuild easily and where you feet will be firmly planted on then these are them. They also come in several different colors.

Strength:

Light(ish), incredibly easy to service, loads of grip, sealed axle

Weakness:

none except that a 6mm socket can sometimes be a bit tricky to get a hold of

These are some amazing pedals. Been rocking them since late 2008 and had a couple problems, but Greg at Straitline is easy to talk to and knows his sh!t. Tear down of these pedals is unreal, I can fully rebuild them in a lazy 5 minutes for both pedals. Super easy to rebuild. Last, but not least, there is an amazing amount of grip.

If any part gets swapped over to a new build, it will be these. Unfortunately I over paid for these so lesson learned there; shop around!

Bottom bottom line: simple construction, sexy looks, and stupendous grip

Strength:

Simple construction, easy to service, thin, big platform, good choice of pin placement, quality finish.

Weakness:

None so far.

The best flats ever made! Playing around with the pin placement helps, lose the middle 4 pins for a better feel and more grip.
The pedals are more comfortable under foot than any other pedal I've used. Big platform means less chance of rolling a pedal.

Strength:

They are real tough and your feet remain glued to the pedals. no slippage. They feel trong and very secure (unlike DMR V12's).

Weakness:

None so far.

great buy. All my mountain biking buddies wear spd pedals but I prefer the more relaxed feel of flat pedals with 5-10's. They are great for general cross country riding and not just exclusively for downhillers.
This is my second purchase of strait line products and I'm a great believer. I can't wait til they make a 2 chain ring chain guide.

Strength:

The pedals are rock solid, amazing grip, sealed bearings, super smooth, pretty light weight, and very low profile. Pins go in using a small socket, which is much easier than an allen wrench.

Weakness:

ABSOLUTELY NONE!

These pedal are the best I have used and seen. I have seen many of pedals go to crap quick. These pedals just plain ol' rock, super grippy. You'll never have to think about pedals agian.

Strength:

weight 518 grams,thin for clearance,lock feet in place,looks

Weakness:

none

i ride xc and started riding more aggressive trails and clipless just weren't working.i reviewed alot of platforms before i bought these.(crankbrothers, tioga, you name it)these were the lightest of all of them,518 grams.they retail for $140 and i found a new pair on ebay for $90.i love them.they are thin but still full sized.there is no maintance because they are dual sealed bearings.my feet stay locked in with no slipping at all.they are thin so i don't hit rocks like i would with thicker platforms.i highly recommend them.5 flamin chili's all around.
