Only paid 140 canadian. Look cool. Super strong when splined and with dh bottom bracket.

Weakness:

No 5 bolt pattern.

For the money you cant find anything better, these cranks are wicked stiff, they are sweet looking and as far as i know they have a good warranty, hopfully i wont have to find out. The turbines werent cutting it so i went to these and i am very happy with them as most people would be as well.

Weakness:

flexy, comes loose like crazyy

i bought these 06 cranks and they where installed by my local bike shop, first ride on them and about 20 minutes later they squeak like crazy and are really loose. had to carry around a fat alllan wrench when riding just to tighten them every 20 minutes. So i got lock tite on it and they havent come loose since, but if i where to get new cranks id spend the extra dough and get some race face evolves or something better. If your looking for new cranks spend the extra dough and get something better quality.

Rock Ring, Price (got them at cost because MS&G had the wrong price on their web site), Stiffness, Looks

Weakness:

Boltto BB comes loose after a while

I really don't know what the negative reviewers are doing to these cranks. But everone can have an opinion. I love these things. Very strong (I tip the scales at 250). And nothing like what these guys has happened to me. I ride pretty hard, 2-3 foot drops and lots of technical up and down hills. The rock ring has taken a beating, but no issues. The only thing that bugs me is the bolt that holds the crank to the BB has come loose a few times. But a good solid tightening holds it for a few rides.
Overall, though these are good cranks for the cash. Tough, durable, stiff and they look pretty sweet on a afterburn C'dale. Buy these. You won't regret it.

However, I guess if you are some super hardcore DHer that hits every rock on the trail w/ your cranks, you might have some issues. But for everyday good tough technical riding, these are the cranks you want.

Burly and good looking. Stiff and strong so far. Also easy to set up. Oh yeah, the PRICE!

Weakness:

none so far.

These seem great so far. I did about a 7 footer on them yesterday, with no loosening or bending or anything. Better than FSA already. The chainrings even seem to shift OK. Overall, I'm extremely impressed. However, I haven't used them much, so I'll write an update later. Now go ride your bike and quit sitting in front of your computer.

Weakness:

my sister thinks they're ugly but what does she know?

If you compared these cranks to a person it would be the guy going the opposite way in a circle pit at a Slayer show. Or picture Arnold in Terminator 2, these cranks are that tough. Don't listen to the hacks that gave the Hussefelt a bad review, Mr. Kirkcaldie himself used them and he is the NORBA DH pro series champion. I bet I could drop The Hussefelt Rock on my Hussefelt cranks and not even fade them. The bottom line is....they rule! Then again, I'm just a hack too...

Keep it real, homies

Weakness:

Threading for petals is CRAP!

These crank arms are crap! The ISIS bottom bracket rox. But if you have this crank setup keep the ISIS and do what I did and by the FSA crank arms for a 4 bolt setup.

These cranks did the same thing as some other reviewers have complained about. I was toolin around town the other day just taking some curbs and drops. All of a sudden my pedal began to wobble and went limp. The threads totally blew out on my left crank arm! trashed my petals too! I had to drop $100 buck to get my rig going again. It took a while for this to happen but still, this kind of problem shouldn't happen...I smell a manufacturing defect. They're suppose to be a DH rated crankset....but I would trust em anymore.

Strength:

they definatly hold up. havent stripped out or failed in any way. stood up to urban, freeride, nasty wet trails (( BB didnt last )) they stood up to DJ (but that was a new set)

Weakness:

a little flexy when landing really hard, but you get used to it.

definatly get these, if not these, get the hozfellers. I have really tortured these cranks. they came stock on my bikes. the one on my P.1 is a 170 and my P.2 is a 175. they have held up really well to large dirtjumps and sketchy landings on my P.1 as well as some harsh skatepark abuse. although the ones on my P.2 have been ridden really hard for two seasons, but basically 4 seasons because I ride my P.2 in the winter too, through snow, mud ...whatever. these cranks arent giving up too easily, getting a little floppy though, but I think thats my pedals/BB

Good value if you can get it for under the regular store price for sure. I have the team bb and howitzer crank its strong, i run a hardtail so it really gets beat up and i take the bike off some decent jumps as well

no problems yet, if you see posts with guys complaining about squeeking or whatever its #1 because the shop they must have taken it to is weaksause #2 they didnt take care of their part , #3 they actually took it over the limit which means they are really good.

its a bit heavy but for the price you have to sacrifice something
