Strength:

Durable, stiff, light enough, black ano finish looks great, designed to run with a chainguide.

Weakness:

Ano rubs off to a polished look on the ridges of the cranks. Almost makes 'em look cooler though.

If you want to be able to get on your ride day after day and not have to worry about the heart beat of you bike stopping you should get on some holzfellers. They will be there for you.

Strength:

It's just strong and stiff. Like a piece of rock on your bike.

Weakness:

None at all.

I'm not sure which model it is but its the one with 2 chainrings and a rockguard. Just a great crank to do everything.

Strength:

Stiff,No flex at all,Bomb proof,look cool.

Weakness:

Paint wear's away a little easy from shoe rub,but nothing like Saint's where they fade alot quicker all around the crank arm,

This goes to the last person who reviewed these, its a fact that these can take more pressure then both Saint and Diabluos cranksets,so i dont know how you broke them, maybe you just work for Shimano.

Cant go wrong with these, stiff as you like, strongest cranks on the market,go buy them,

Strength:

Veru strong, stiff set of cranks. No flex at all. ISIS mounting makes set-up easy. Looks good (polished).

Weakness:

None yet.

I started using these cranks at the start of the 2003 Mountain States Cup DH series. I was impressed right from the start. They are very strong, pretty light (for DH cranks), and have no flex that I can notice. The ring stayed true, and the whole set-up worked very well with my MRP System 1 Slalom chainguide. I would recommend this crank to anyone looking for a change!

Strength:

looks, easy to install compared to three pieces, good rep.

Weakness:

flex was noticed almost from the start. yet that could be a good thing since i trashed in the last 10 months: mrp bones combo and dmr chieftain mk 2. the mrp set up is just bent in every way and the bearings are some of the poorest quality i ever had; no more comment. the dmr's i love yet the spider doesn't take a real beating, since the contact area to cranks and that oring spacer is limited, that being the main weakness on most or even all three pieces. back to the flex being good; it takes away a lot of the stress from the bearing and bb axel, i hope. once i am convinced that the dmr chieftain mk three's work they'll be on my next ride!!!

go for it, but if u want something that as everyone say's inspires more confidence stay with steel three pieces with fixed spiders and sealed bearings (dmr only) and deal with the fidily set up.

Strength:

Super Stiff, Reasonably Light, Good Chain Rings, ISIS

Weakness:

Um, none?

I was super stoked when I found out my bike came with a Holzfeller, it was a awesome perk. It was my first crank to use ISIS, and I am really enjoying it. The crank is mega stiff, so downhillers and freeriders will rejoice. The crank holds up to basically anything you can throw at it. The crank also stays mega stiff when you are really rough with it, as in jamming the pedals, as hard as you can. So racers will rejoice too.

Compared to the competition, the value cant be beat. With the Saint's running in the high 300's, and the Race Face Diablous somewhere in that range, the Holzfeller is a really good deal. As far as weight for DH racers, its weighs considerably less than the competition too.

Overall, if you want a good crank, get a Holzfeller with a TruVativ GigaPipe BB combo. You'll be happy. Everything gets a 5 this round.

Strength:

Strong as the HULK, well engineered, great looks, light

Weakness:

Have'nt found any yet

Truvativ did there homework on these babies. I rode them all year on the racing circuit and tons of freeriding on them. These babies can take some abuse!!! And yet they are just as light as anything out there. I used the Giga Pipe bb and between the two, I had no worries at all. I've done 15ft drops, bashed rocks, and ate the dirt with them. I'm no light weight also(190lbs of 23 year old craziness). I would highly recommend these cranks to anyone looking for a bullitproof set-up.
