Shifts like poo

While searching for a replacement big ring for my XT 2x10 setup I came across a good deal on this one. 'Liking the 'bling' factor I picked one up and installed it. After fewer than a dozen rides I give up and just ordered a replacement Shimano. This will make a cool wind-chime.

Simply put, it does not shift well. Big to small, small to big doesn't matter. Changing gears takes a while IF the chain stays on! (Yes both derails. are adjusted properly). To add insult to injury, the small tab on the ring that goes behind the crank arm is too short. So when your chain goes off the high side on the big ring it slips between the crank arm and the ring and your chain gets stuck there until you pry it out. There is no hope of getting the chain back on a ring while on the fly.

I'm quite bummed about this one. Aside from wasting about $50 bucks on this it does look cool. Oh well.
