Strength:

This is for the Aluminum post- superior design, great looks, very well thought out.

Weakness:

none

I never thought a post could make such a difference; unbelievable-it's solid and feels way more solid than the RF; the setback design is brilliant, this company is amazing, buy one. I also bought the Syntace seatpost collar, and the post had not budged, something I was used to with the Santa Cruz collar and Race Face post.

Strength:

superb intelligent German design + with great rail support + plenty of offset.
rail clamping system is the best on the market by far.
great choice of widths & lengths to fit most bikes.
Syntace don't mind customers cutting their posts - they even tell them how much they will weigh once shortened.
seems to be working well with the carbon wide rails on my SLR Carbonio Flow.
has not slipped yet.
super tuff lacqeur coating on Carbon seatpost seems to be really hard to scratch + post height numbering is underneath it so it won't ever be rubbed away - unlike lesser designs!
no flex, install and forget.

Weakness:

none found.

Syntace manufacture the best Carbon mtb seatpost in the world. there's lighter posts to be had (that flex) - but for strength to weight ratio you won't find anything better than P6 + the Syntace P6 clamp design that securely holds onto the rails yet allows offset is just brilliant!

5 chilis for value
5 chilis for overall rating - betcha you can't find a better seatpost than this one!

Strength:

The best Clamping on the Market

Weakness:

None! Scratches are normal at painted seatposts

Sorry for the guys before, but this indeed a Carbon Post!!! Only the clamping aera is reinforced with an aluminium insert.

If you look at all crash tests.. this the strongest post ever.

This post is excellent engineering. It is stiff, light (my Thomson is much heavier) and the clamp sets the Benchmark!!!

Strength:

Good Looks, The rail support is awsome. Super easy to adjust.

Weakness:

Despite the marketing verbiage - this is not a true carbon post. Rather an aluminum post wrapped in carbon.

Not sure what the deal on the carbon wrapped aluminum post is all about – heck for all I know it’s stronger. But, if it is then put into your sales pitch. The fact they did not, does not bode well in my books.
Other than that, the clamp system is excellent, and the extended rail system is equivalent to a 30mm offset post.
Over all I do like the post, just wish it was full carbon.

Strength:

Light, strong, somewhat dampening

Weakness:

Scratches very easily!

Not worth the price, considering how easily it scratches -- but that's a problem w/ carbon fiber posts in general.

Strength:

strenght, length (34.4 mm), seat clamp

Weakness:

finish. If you like to lower you saddle before a downhill the surface will scratch.

the saddle clamp is excellent. It came with my frame and is one of the few 34.4mm seat posts on the market. I would prefer an aluminum version of this post because of the scratches.

Strength:

Good finish, Superb Clamp Design, Solid design, Graduated Marks, Internal Elliptical shape for strength

Weakness:

Price, A little Heavy

A great sturdy seat post. It is dead silent on the trail and the clamp design is awesome. It supports the rails fully and makes adjustment very easy, you don't get those tiny clamps that leave you to wonder it will hold. This post grips the seat rails with authority. It was a little heavier than expected, but is a solidly built piece that will provide years of trouble free use.
