Strength:

came with bike,hardwearing

Weakness:

hurts my butt. is the wrong shape, size and density for a saddle

this saddle is extremely comfortable until you start to peddle,at which point its soft squashy squirming nature and odd shape conspire to chew your arse off, even wearing quality shorts. I just did 1000 miles in 14 days on one of these saddles. as soon as I got home I swapped it for a trimatic from another bike and hope never to sit on an spx saddle again. In the 10 days since i got home i've done some long rides,i.e 90 miles,5 or 6 hours in the saddle, and had no discomfort on my trimatic saddle. the shape of the spx is odd. it will pinch your skin and if you ride more than 2 or 3 hours will also bruise you. It gets 2 flaming chillies, one because it was more comfortable than sitting on the seatpost alone and it came with the bike and has lasted well, and one because it showed me the benefits of good vitamin e cream and chamois cream

Strength:

nice fit, good support

Weakness:

a bit to hard

It is a bit hard, but perfect support and nice fit to my butt. It came standard on my bike and I don't think I will replace it.

Strength:

Simple design, nylon base which give good flexibility, water proof:) since the cover is made from syntethic material, easy to clean, lot of padding.

Weakness:

Nothing serious, actually I like it better compare to my Nitrox Genuine Gel. It's only a bit heavy, I'm not a gram counter anyway.

Basicly, it's not the best stuff in Selle Italia range, but for basic one it's good enough, comfortable, easy to clean, simple design, and cheap:)

David P   Cross-Country Rider [Sep 25, 1999]
Strength:

Came standard with my Norco touring bike so its strength is its free!

Weakness:

Plasticky seat and the seat side protectors (hard plastic) are actually pinching on my butt muscle.

Heh, what can I say about this saddle. It came with my Norco touring bike and I hated it! Initially, it felt comfortable sitting on it. Its cushy and comfy padding provided sofa like seating. But don't let that fool you because if you ride more than 100 miles on it, it will hurt your butt so bad you will never want have sex with your partner the following night. And its side plastic protectors pinch on my butt muscle, which doubles the pain. Swap it as fast as you can with a nice leather saddle if you plan to do any LONG RIDE.
