Strength:

These are great very lightweight bars and they look fantastic!
I really notice how the carbon dampens the vibration to my hands.

Weakness:

More a material issue. The bars flex more when going uphill and you pull against them. Just takes getting used to.

Great bars! Really smoothed out vibration on fast downhills.
They also look great. Not as stiff as aluminum but I guess that's the point.

Strength:

Beautiful finish. One of the best looking carbon bars made.

Weakness:

This thing is weak. Really weak. Salsa won't warranty it if it breaks. Expensive.

I had this bar for about a month. I loved the look and feel. Perfect length and rise. But, the very first time I went OTB the thing snapped in half. I have had hundreds of worse falls on the Easton Monkey Lite carbon bars on my other 2 bikes with no problems at all. The Monkey Lite carbon bar on my other bike is 4+ years old and going strong. Salsa wouldn't offer any warranty or even crash replacement. Unless you ride only light XC, avoid this bar and get an Easton.

Strength:

Beautiful, light, strong, can be cut, can accept bar ends, is reinforced. Perfect bend and rise. Very comfortable.

Weakness:

Retail is high.

Gets my vote for the sexiest and smartest of carbon all mountain or cross country bars.

Strength:

Light n' Strong Wide for SS use has a textured clamp section

Weakness:

none yet (I should really replace it after a year of use...or should I?)

I love the flat area of the bar it allows vertical dampening on full ridged and is still strong enough for some torque.

Strength:

It is wide. I ride single speed. It absorbs vibration yet is stiff. It looks cool. I have the 31.8 model.

Weakness:

Easily scored which could compromise integrity

Every bit as good as FSA. Nice appearance. The ride is smoothyet stiff. Light.

Similar Products Used: FSA K Force on other bikes in both 25.1 and 31.8. The Salsa is wider...about 27 inches.
