Strength:

Won't break

Weakness:

Cost, it's all about the benjamins, and you were expected to hand on over if you wanted this bar

This bar rocks, no two ways about it. It's absolutely bomb proof and it soaks up the viberation. Plus if I am able break which is taking some work, they'll replace it.

Strength:

Weakness:

high price

if you can get one(and mtbr.com is the place to get them as far as i can tell), go for it. it is strong and light, yet has a very sturdy feeling without being harsh(not unlike a good carbon fibre frame). my bike feels very 'solid' and this bar contributes greatly to that feeling, and it contributes to keeping the weight down to. as others have said, it is breautiful, the gold and red is fantastic, i would say much better lookin than that yellow/black weave on other bars/components. unless you need an ultralight(like the so-light-its-scary klien stratum), go for this guy, it isnt hefty, but it is heavy enough to feel strong and you can run your favorite bar ends without significant trouble(although mine do slip from time to time if i really lay into them). i'd give 'em five chilli's just for being from race face, but they earn them all on their own.

Weakness:

we'll get to that

well i'm updating my last post. i bought the bar and loved it until it cracked next to the stem three days after i put it on my bike, this is weird considering i way 130lbs soakin wet... i was extra careful to make sure the stem wasn't too tight and i used control tech bar ends, anyway i brought it back to my buddies at the bike shop and they sent it back to Raceface, like a moth and a half pass and i finally got a new one. take two lets see how this one holds up!! i give it 5 chillies considering raceface sent me a new one

BERTS

Weakness:

Plastic coating

It might have been an ok bar. The bar was professionally installed, and after the first ride (first time I looked carefully at it) I noticed several places where the plastic on the bar had cracked and started peeling. The bar held for the ride and felt as good as any bar I've ever riden. I spoke with my shop after the ride and they were concerned and took it back. No info from Race Face if it was just a cosmetic issue or something more structural. Honestly I don't know, but I wasn't going to trust it. Switched to a cheap Al bar and have had no problems since.I wanted to like the bar, but it ended up being a hassle, and wasn't up to snuff.

Strength:

Super Sexy red and gold kevlar weave is unlike any other gray carbon bar. Stronger than any other bar on the planet at 135g. Race Face uses this bar to break stems in the fatigue machine because it will not break!

Weakness:

Slightly expensive

If you can fork out the dough. buy this bar, its that simple. It will be the last you will ever have to buy, guaranteed.

Strength:

Nice feel, really light. It also dampens a lot of vibration which is important on the arms, not a fatiguing bar at all.Race Face knows how to build their stuff. The bar is crazy light and around 3X stronger than Aluminum.

Weakness:

It was expensive...but what carbon stuff isn't?

I'm a courier so this bar really makes life easier on the arms because I don't use Front Suspension. Not only that but it's weight/strength are unequalled
