Strength:

Strong, stiff, looks awesome

Weakness:

Does not make you hip with the chicks....

Buy it, put it on, and forget it. It is cheap as far as carbon bars go and tough as nails.

Strength:

strength, vibration dampening, everything, i love these bars...

Weakness:

component clamps need tightening on occasion

imho, i like these better than the eastons. they arent as rigid, which is a big plus. if you like firmness, get the ec90's, i however didnt, and value these. they have them backed up with a 50 yr warranty, just get an in.lbs. wrench + you'll be fine, mine do not have reinforced ends, and the clearcoat tends to loosen up the dual controls after a while, but in 3 years, they have only "needed" retorquing twice. this is a mooot point + i'd stil givem 5 chilis, if they last longer than 5 yrs, id givem 6, + i expect them too. mine are 25.4.

Strength:

Very cool looking carbon/Kevlar weave ( yellow and black). Strong, and light bars with very comfortable bend.

Weakness:

None to date.

Bought these LP Composites bars from Annette's products on eBay, and couldn't be happier. I have both the DH and XC version of the hybrid carbon/Kevlar bars. The bars are amazingly light.... and very stiff..... especially if you buy the 31.8mm diameter. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase these bars go with the 31.8mm diameter because it's much stiffer than the 25.4mm version. The look of the hybrid ( yellow and black) bars is truly awesome and trick! I can honestly say that these are the best composite bars on the market today... far superior to the other brands such as FSA, Easton, etc. Those other companies don't seem to have the quality that these LP Composites bars do. LP has been around for quite some time.... and they have a excellent customer service policy.... and the bars are guaranteed for 50 years by LP to the original buyer! I doubt I will be riding 50 years from now.... but's it's still cool they offer that kind of warranty!

Bottom line is.... if you want a uber-cool looking set of composite bars.... look no further than these LP Composites bars. I own 3 sets... and will be buying one more this weekend from Annette on eBay. 5 grilled guacamole burgers for this Bad Boy Bar! *****

Strength:

Gorgeous craftsmanship (I'm an engineer, so I notice small manufacturing details professionally).

Weakness:

Can be a little hard to find place to purchase.

A really great choice. Beautifully made and really unique. Not sure why you don't hear more about these guys. I immediately noticed the vibration-damping compared with the OEM aluminum bar, as would be expected for CF.

I measured around 205g for my 25" long, 31.8mm clamp diameter, "XC Riser" bar.

Reasonable price and US-made...top shelf!!

Strength:

A Strong carbon fiber DH bar. Excellent trail chatter damping. This bar smooths the trail out like butter. No more tired arms! Great looks and greater price!

Weakness:

Not the lightest carbon bar, but I like the added strength for peace of mind.

This is everything I wanted in a carbon bar without the fear it was going to snap on anything rough. I have heard that the Easton bars will break if you abuse them so I opted for the LP DH version in a 26" length. The sweep of this bar is great at 10 degrees. It puts your hands and wrists in a very comfortable postition. The Damping of this bar is wonderful. It lets you ride longer with much greater comfort and controll. Excellent price point on this bar very affordable at 70$. If you are looking for a carbon bar for your trail bike or cross country rig go with LP a Top Quality Handlebar. five flaming frogs!

Strength:

Hybrid weave is amazingly cool. Absorbs some vibration.

Weakness:

flexes (see above)

This is for the XC riser bar. These bars are great deal through Annette on ebay. I use them driving an off-road tandem = no lifting the front end over obstacles and trying to steer 350lbs of mass. This bar handles it all with no complaints. It does have some noticable flex which took a bit to get used to visually. I still notice it if the trail is boring. That flex really allows the bar to reduce buzz and vibration. Strong bar and light weight. LP has a 50 year defect warranty and a 12 month free crash replacement.

Strength:

Light, very comfortable. Soaks up bumps well. Looks good!

Weakness:

Upper-most layer of bar makes the diameter just slightly bigger than most aluminum bars, and will make removing/applying brake levers, shifters, and grips VERY difficult!

I like the bar because it is nice and light, and eats-up road vibrations well. And it looks cool.

I use this bar on a Jamis Exile 29'er with a rigid fork, so a more compliant bar was a must for me. This bar does well in those regards.

But the top layer on the bar is a plastic-like substance which increases the outside diameter. This makes applying your accessories/drivetrain components incredibly difficult. I had to use a sanding bit to drill out the inside clamp diameter of my brake levers just to slide them onto the bar. And my grips were also very difficult to apply.

I am happy with the bar now. But when it comes time to upgrade anything that's attached to the bar, I won't like it very much.

Strength:

nice design light strong quite rare in europe

Weakness:

it is impossible to fit some high end bar end plugs

great product very stif and nearly hard to ride without gloves!
make the front of the bike very responsive and u appreciate the quality of your fork
if the fork is crap and with lateral flex change it first!
got one on both bike no problem
they handle without difficulty the bar ends and all the climbing out of the saddle peddaling

the price was ok but the postage ruined me...
are worth the hasle if u want a quality product with a different design
i owe the xc bar 5 degrees 0 riser

Strength:

Strength, weight, end plugs, looks, quality and on and on...

Weakness:

Maybe a little wide (I have the XC riser bar) but not terrible.

These are great bars (XC riser, Aramid yellow fiber weave). Done some big jumps and had some real nasty spills, not a flinch. Always get compliments on the color and pattern. Very strong and smooth. Love em!
