Strength:

unique design, works well, powerful, no noticeable slop. no squeal. light. I am happy with the product.

Weakness:

the idea is great, but the arms should be a little longer for mud clearance and the brake-power obsessed. nothing beats superlong v-brake arms for dry xc.

buy it if you have to have different stuff. Works great with any v-lever, preferably adjustable leverage ones. Canecreek makes good levers too. But if you just want power, get the avid single digit in your preferred model, blows all other v's out of the water, i don't know how. 9 chilis for uniqueness and reliability. Grease your boss posts well before mounting. no dh tires.

Strength:

awesome power, more responsive than a disc, superior grade A tofu.

Weakness:

umm... none found, except for clearance, but even that is adjustable if you just don't follow the directions an space the brake pads to give you more clearance.

If you want the best brakes at the best price you can't beat these. Yeah sure they are alot heavier than the paul's and not as adjustible as their more expensive brethern. But hey, if you don't need to flip them to adjust your wire why bother, save the money and buy me some new cranks. definetly gave this one 10 flaming cornholios. ;)

Strength:

Silent! No more noise Very smooth performance with excellent feel to the levers. No more noodle and easy to setup.

Weakness:

None yet

I run mine with the stock Cane Creek front pads and Kool-Stop "salmon" pads on the rear. Gives a strong linear feel on the lever with less striction in the cable lines. There is no noise from the brakes at all, no more squeals or vibration.
The look of them might be a little different, I've had other riders ask me what they are. Overall, I can't fault them in the 200 miles I have used them for. Picked them up for $25.00 a pair on a whim, glad I did.

Strength:

Power... they nail the bike to ground.
Easy to install and setup.
Kool-Stop pads.

Weakness:

They are a bit loose, make some vibrations during a ride.

When you need powerfull brakes but dont want to reconfigure your bike for disc brakes.

And they look nice too :)

Strength:

Looks nice

Weakness:

Loose, their recoil is not good (rear brake gets stuck).

I expected a lot of these breaks since i read the good reviews but to me they are a bit disappoiting. I dont feel that they are stronger than other similar brake systems. The worst things are that they are loose (they can be moved up and down) and if turned tighter their weak recoil ability (for the rear break) goes further down the drain. They are quite cheap though imo.

Strength:

Exceptional feel, stopping power
Included pads are very good
Very cool looking
inexpensive

Weakness:

none so far

This is a highly, highly recommended brake set for recumbents! The extra long cable length of recumbent brakes makes them particularly susceptible to lousy brake feel, i.e. "squish", as well as creating finicky adjustments for the pull sweet spot. These Cane Creek DC2's have no noodle, which buys you mucho brake feel - I have used several V-brakes looking to get feel back, and these are the bomb. I had been using Kool Stop salmons, but the Cane Creek pads plus brakes are silent and appear to be fine so far - no grooving or biting of the rims. 5 recumbent chilis - if you're looking for a 'bent brake fix feel, this is the place. The fact that they're inexpensive is gravy - I'd pay twice the price for the feel alone.
