Strength:

good overall first bike, conquers most things thrown at it. climbs well.

Weakness:

mavic wheels have blown through two rear hubs, apparentely pretty common, probably the worst thing is that after two season riding this bike my head tube is ovalized and Fuji would not honor their life time warranty. I wil never buy a Fuji bike again.

I have the outland rc 29er and I will never buy a Fuji again because of their horrible customer service.

Strength:

Fantastic upgrade from my old Trek hardtail. Both the Rock Shox front fork and rear suspension have the ability to provide either a plush ride or a stiffer feel depending on the trail. For the trails in Indiana the 100mm travel is enough for some of the tougher sections and the lockout both front and rear make climbing much easier. Shimano SLX drivetrain is great and crank feels stiff even when really hammering it. The shimano SLX hydro brakes have a great feel and excellent stopping power even compared to higher end avids that I have ridden. Wheelset is solid and have not needed to true it once in a year.

Weakness:

As another reviewer pointed out the 2.2 Mtn Kings have a tendency to randomly break traction especially on hardpack but work nice in tacky conditions. Rear suspension can be a bit springy unless adjusted perfectly for trail conditions.

Great bike for the trails where I ride. I have recently upgraded the tires to conti X King 2.4 ProTec tires which barely fit into the frame and fork. This gives the bike a much different feel and will help on the downhills even more. A solid choice for all day cross country rides thru tricky ascents and descents but for riders looking to take on bigger downhills and drops the GT Force at the expense of being heavier and more expensive is another solid ride.

Strength:

Great finish and paint work on frame, superb handling, good spec kit, front and rear suspension lock outs very useful, lightweight,

Weakness:

not many really, lack of quick realise bolt for saddle !!

I rode my schwinn for 6 years around the muddy fields and mtns surrounding belfast, and felt it was time to change, the big problem is actually seeing any bike you want to buy, so reviews I believe are invaluable, this fuji is a great machine for the money. Kit , finishing and handling are exellent, I would recommend it to anyone.

Strength:

Relatively light (about 27lbs), very plush ride; pretty good component selection (drivetrain, anyway).

Weakness:

Fuji could have easily spec'd another pound off this bike with component selection.

This bike accelerates and climbs well, easy to keep the wheels on the ground when climbing or decending - a real confidence builder. And the red, white and black frame looks smokin' hot. Plus I got lucky with an end-of-year-move-this-bike price (thanks Jon!). 4 chilis based on the price, 5 based on the ride quality.

When needed (Not a big deal) planing to replace tires with Continental Mountain king 2.4 or Kenda or Micheling 2.35

2008 model MSRP $2430.00, Got it for $1550.00 Outstanding value for this diamond !! Will not need any upgrades.

Strength:

The photo is the '06, I have the '07. One major change, they moved the shock inside the main frame. The bike is solid as a rock but nimble and quick to react. The cockpit is well balanced, even when I'm in trouble I find a way to recover with this bike. Excellent components and it looks great too.

Weakness:

None that I can find

I love this bike, sometimes I just sit out in my garage and stare at it, that is when I'm not flying down a trail or powering up a hill somewhere.
