Strength:

I was pretty impressed when I saw it on the net, but then seeing this at the store was much more than expected. Great frame in terms of shape, geometry, intended use... quite reinforced but still not heavy! I also fell in love with its FSA Gravity Step Up crankset w/bashguard, it is a good tool for the price. Also liked CNC-made stem, handlebar, seatpost, saddle... and we can not forget the Schwalbe tires, of course!

Weakness:

I think the most disgusting thing about this kind of bike is the poor drivetrain setup they always have (Shimano Alivio RD is just unforgivable for a 2010 bike – maybe a deore shadow would work fine), although I can understand it since the intended use is not related to long pedaling sessions but just pedaling around “doing some stuff out there”
Marzocchi fork, although stable, stiff, sensible, etc is still pretty cheap -not enough adjustments

Just fine, I only need the frame and aheadset :)

Strength:

The beefiest frame i've ever used. the fork is amazing: mine is a 2009 model wolverine so i got marzocchi bomber 22r's with 120 mm travel with dampening. Sram x4 gearset, truvativ crank and bb, and hayes mx4 disc brakes front and rear (very grippy and good when wet even) Bashguard on crank is very effective and has saved my sprockets many times lol. This bike is great for dirt jumping. period. great standover and angle of attack.

Weakness:

The rims could be stronger, but i haven't needed to get mine trued yet so that's a good thing. The tires are great for use on dirt and mud and grass and trails, but very noisy and inefficient on street. install a chainstay guard right away!!!

I'd absolutely recommend this bike. it is amazingly durable and has not failed me yet and it has been ridden like a bat out of hell. Nothing has gone wrong yet. I'm amazed by the value and quality norco has to offer. If you see the 2009 norco wolverine, GET IT!!! you won't regret it! (p.s don't get the 2010 model they skimped out on the frame unfortunately) happy riding!

Strength:

This is for the 2009 Norco wolverine. Frame, forks, shifters, bassically everything

Weakness:

Today I went off a drop and the quick release on the back tire came off but other then that it's been perfect.

Great bike for pretty much everything. It's easy to learn how to do tricks and is an easy ride. The marzochhi 22r's work great in all conditions seeing they are adjustable. Definatley a good bike to buy if your looking for some fun. I would recomend it to everyone who likes riding but isn't an extreme rider as my friends recomended it to me.

Weakness:

bottom bracket, pedals, seat post saddle, weight

the best aluminum hardtail for ts price, and level. pretty snappy geometry compared to to other hardtails, can do basic shore freeride, does fine on paved roads, great all arounder bike, frame for 2008 to 2009 is awesome..( they cheaped out on that great frame in 2010 ) . rides fast, corners well. frame is upgradable.

Strength:

Frame, bars, stem, chain guard, most of the bike tbh.

Weakness:

forks arent really designed for the stuff i do, but can imagine them being good for xc.
i have had to have my wheel trued again.
crank comes loose every 5 mins.

Has been a sick bike so far, i bought it new in june 2009 (bought the 07 model) but its a nice bike to ride, fairly light, good feel to it, flickable, wide tyres have a lot of traction and tread, good round the dirt jumps and trails. i am getting new forks, new crank, new wheelset and a new BB as the stock ones are not amazing, but would suit anyone who does XC or a beginner. but frame is the same as they use on the higher models e.g sasquatch.
if your looking to buy it for XC get a bigger model, but small model is perfect for anything really, and has a good standover height.

Strength:

This is an 2009 model it has upgraded forks. Disk front & rear. Will pick it up on thur. 10 km. oneway to work daily, eather trail or hiway

Weakness:

Seat dont is not impressive

No ride yet but from the rev. i read it's a solid bike. Forks n rear brakes were weak. mine has disk all around and better forks. I guess Norco reads these web sights and improve on the product. Wife will fraek but i'll say i got it from a teen.

Strength:

Strength and durability

Weakness:

Brakes and weight

I've used this bike for over 2 years now both for commuting and blasting trails and single tracks on the wekends.
Its so heavy and the brakes are so bad I've considered installing V brakes several times.
On the positive side I've never broken anything despite many stacks and it was over 2 years for the first puncture despite riding it almost everyday.
But bottom line is its terrible. Get something lighter and with decent brakes.
