Strength:
good on flat rides with long roll over
Weakness:
very heavy, uncomfotable frame on x-small, cumbersome on tight trails would never recommend for short petite riders unless they want to ride on flat terrain Bought this bike and hated it would never recommend for small riders |

Strength:
PRICE !!!! Low stand-over, mostly good parts spec.
Weakness:
brakes !!!!! Tektro Drako brakes are absolute trash, Specialized should have went with the cheaper Shimano Deore brakes for about the same price range.
This is a really great deal for the price range. My wife does not do FR or DH riding, just XC, Trail, and Single-track so the 100mm travel is plenty. The weight is a little high, but how many womens bikes out there are under $1,650 (we paid $1,500) and have a stand over that will fit a 5'3" rider.

Strength:
Good rear shock work. Bobs a little but does the job.
Weakness:
Front shock is the worse I've been on! (although I'm spoiled by good stuff but still, it's heavy & works awful).
Overall because choices are limited in the price range, they are pretty good.

Strength:
Standover/frame size
Weakness:
Cheap brake arms
Needed a bike for my 'tweenage daughter. Sloping top tube, plus the small frame size, gave us a bike that fits now and she will still ride as an adult. Drivetrain is good. Shimano Acera is not flashy or feather-light, but it works great. EF50 brake lever/shifters are good, and now my son wants a set of them for his bike. The Mega-range freewheel is nice for young riders, but an experienced rider might not care for the jump to a 34-tooth cog.

Weekend Warrior
Strength:
Good geometry, ride, handling.
Weakness:
Weight, poor fork Paid ~GBP 899. My girlfriend got this bike the same time as I bought a Prophet 2 and she loves it. Its seen red and black action at Glentress, Kirroughtree, CYB, Dalby, Cannock, Grizedale, Whinlatter and too many Yorkshire moor rock/mud fests to count and kept up with riders on bikes worth two or three times as much. Good frame and geometry (similar to previous Stumpys) and tunable shock means its a blast to ride up hill and down dale and the spec isnt too bad, but the fork is already knackered so upgrading to a Fox F100 asap. Would benefit from lighter wheels, bars, stem and seatpost to turn it into a real trail whippet. Similar Products Used: GT Aggressor |
