Strength:

Absolutely ridiculously overbuilt chromoly frame. Unstoppable air fork (2005 Marzocchi Dirt Street 24's), DH stem, bars, and headset, GYRO, great brakes (even though they are rim brakes, they don't feel like it), beastly trials cranks with long arms and a taco cog guard, well built wheelset with VERY DURABLE hubs (rear hub allows chain to be mounted to either left or right side, or BOTH for an unique appearance), and fantastic tires.

Weakness:

With all these strengths, the bike is unbreakable. However, this comes at a price, and in this case, that price is WEIGHT. It tips the scales at over 35 lbs... A bit much for street but i'm willing to compensate for the unreal fit and finish, and the durability.

This bike is 6 years old. I bought it un-used, and I have not once regretted it. If you're schizophrenic like me, and are not sure if you want to do DJ, street, Skate Park, free-ride, or just ripping' around the city, this is the bike for you.

Strength:

frame and hubs so far are doing really well

Weakness:

i hade to replace the wheel set. i destroyed the wheels no problem. then i had to replace the crank set it was way to heavy.i didnt like the mechanical disks and thought the rotors where to small so upgrade. also replaced the stem.i didnt like the grab of the tires on dirt or street so had them replaced also.keep in mind i ride hard and beat this bike almost to death before the rebuild.

bottom line is i put this bike through the ringer and it keeps coming back for more. a very smooth ride that i cant get enough of.ive been ridin specialized for many years and dont have much negative feedback. i love the p series and im about to get a new one.buy this bike if you like big air, dirt jumps, and bustin nasty moves.

Strength:

bike is a tank feels very solid and rides very predictably.

Weakness:

heavy, but not really a problem when riding. weight is sign of reliability. wish it has a disc mount. would prefer shorter crank arms, it comes with 180mm ones

although i just got the bike i already love it. feels pretty burly. why, i wonder, didn't they use mechanical discs or at least have a disc brake boss. my guess is to keep 110mm bmx spacing out back. 05' p1 cromo has a rear disc with a gyro and iscg tabs... live and learn

Frame, Forks, Gyro

Weakness:

Seatpole length, weight, brakes, weight, chainring clearance, weight

This Is Not A Courier Bike. I bought it because it was on special for less than half price, under the assumption that I could ramp up the gearing. The 36t chainring barely clears the frame as it is, and to get a smaller cog on the back involves replacing the rear hub at great cost. The weight of the bike, although decried by many, is not all that noticeable when it is being ridden, and the bike itself rides like a wet dream. My only major problem is the stock rear rim keeps shredding tyres. In the two months that I've owned it, it's sliced the beading away from two tyres, so if you buy one, then make sure your bike store is willing to replace the rim under warranty if the need arises.

I wanted an older model P.Street because of the good reviews so i called a local bike shop and they had a 2004 model still in the box surprisingly in 2007 so they built it up for me. Solid frame and fork. good components except for the pedals (Wellgo sucks)

Weakness:

Front end weight fork, handlebar stem combo heavy, pedals are sh#t!! a few minutes into my ride out of the bike shop i did a few curb jumps and the pedals bent Wellgo brand. Im not a heavy guy and I've been riding since the 80's I took the bike back the next day. they replaced the pedals free of charge. they gave me a pair of SNAFU pedals, no problems since.

Good bike for the money, super solid, killer color combo.
smooth urban rider, great for dirt jumping!!

if you want the most bang for your buck. get the P.Street its indestructible, LOVE the bike you wont be disappointed.
