Strength:

Great all DH bike, lots of travel, extremely strong frame, great brakes, long lasting

Weakness:

HEAVY!!!! Can not pedal uphill at all, I actually almost stopped riding and whenever I did I had to get someone to shuttle me up.

2001 Model

If you only ever ride when shuttle or chairlift this is a bike for you! Otherwise stay away.

Strength:

This bike just fell off my car while going down the highway and there was no damage other than a bent wheel!! The frame was perfectly fine!

Weakness:

Heavy if you're a little girl.

Awesome bike.

Strength:

So basically this bike once you get it going not even a brick wall can stop it, it is so strong ! No matter what you are landing on you can have complete confidence that it will hold up, probably if you jumped off a cliff you may not live but this bike sure will. The handling down a hill is amazing the faster you go the more stable it is. Has a back 24" sunringle rim that thing is unbreakable accidentally hit it with a sledgehammer didn't do anything actually hurt my sledge.

Weakness:

Lets just be honest this thing is heavy, very heavy and if you aren't good at going up hills then don't get this bike. But after biking on this every single weekend for 3 years there is nowhere I can't go with this thing. Its more difficult finding 24" tires for the back wheel but more of an inconvenience than anything else.

This bike maybe old now but I wouldn't trade it for almost anything, I mean lets be honest someone offer me a topfuel i'd trade and sell the topfuel and get two banshees. But for real love this thing once I rebuilt my front fork with heavy springs this thing is amazing everywhere. I ride urban down stairs and random concrete things, and I take it out to the forest and ride down the mountain, it's a go anywhere do anything bike.

Strength:

Everything! I have never been on a bike that 'Screams' to drop everything...!! The reviews below are correct. When you get on this bike it feels about 10 lbs lighter than its actual weight. I got mine down to 45.5 lbs, which isn't too bad. The 5th Element rear shock is unreal. Takes some time to dial it in. But, once you figure it out, it's SMOOTH riding...

Weakness:

Need to mess with the cable rfvsdouting in the rear. Have folded a couple sets of dr and brake cables..
Once you figure it out, no problem

Awesome bike!! I have gained much confidence while I've had the Scream. Every jump/section of trail that used to keep me on my toes are now a cake-walk for me. For someone who breaks a lot of equipment and doesn't want to ever break a frame again, buy the Scream. You will not be sorry!!

Strength:

Build, components (Gucci), price, looks, feel.

Weakness:

The weight puts many down, but it`s definitely worth it on your way down the hill.

This bike gives a first impression of a small, but heavy bike. However, when the bike`s set up for your taste, it gives and gives. The ride is supersmooth and your abilities as a rider will progress on this bike. I`ve never had such a bike before.

Strength:

Indestructible, smooth and good looking

Weakness:

Nothing so far

I haven't ridden it so many times yet, but it just feels supersmooth and it takes any trail, even uphill! Don't worry about the weight, because it feels much lighter when you ride it. I highly recommend this bike for any downhiller/freerider!!!!
