Strength:

Strong and stable. Not too much bobbing, that can be eliminated by locking the rear suspension.
Low center of gravity, nimble in the thight turns.

Weakness:

Not as light as carbon and hardtails.

My frame now has a couple of 100 km behind it. It's a 26 with a Fox Float 32 in front. Brakes from Clark in the UK. The gears are100% Shimano XT.
It's very easy to work on, and rigging the bike will take you 3-4 hours, with installing the head set as the most demanding part. As to riding it, being 180cm, the geometry of the medium size frame is fine for me. I find it very solid, after a couple tumbles, nothing is bendt or broken and I am ready to trust it on single tracks in the Norwegian mountains. The varnish is quite strong, but will naturally wear and tear with you tumbles. It chips where hitten by a stone but not more, so far; no flaking. The back suspension that came with the bike has behaved nicely and the need for a remote lock hasn't been overwhelming. There is no problem with the chain hitting the horisontal leg of the triangle; neopren protection is not nescessary. The movement of the triangle is not very wild, so you do not need to give too many considerations as to chain length.
It's an excellent XC frame and I wouldn't hesitate to build the same one to my wife if she wanted to ditch her HT.
