Intense M9 Downhill Full Suspension

DESCRIPTION

It’s early predecessor, the M-1, was ridden to silver medal victory at the World Championships in 1996 by Shaun Palmer at one of his first competitive events on a bicycle, making history for both Palmer & Intense. The dynamic combination of Palmer and the M-1 set the stage for Intense Cycles and changed the face of DH forever.

Since then, the M-series downhill chassis has achieved iconic standing as the choice of the world’s fastest racers.

The M9 is the latest edition in the series and is the culmination of over 15 years of racer feedback, R&D and evolution in technology. The M9 has held true to its original DNA in being the first downhill specific race frame that can be tweaked and tuned to tame any track, it will make you a faster, smoother, more confident rider. Period.

The bike that has defined us for so many years just keeps getting better.

DHer

Strength:

Pulls speed from know where, very predictable and stable, tips into turns awesomely. turns rock sections into foot paths. looks awesome and turns heads.

Weakness:

water can get inside frame when washing (though holes allowing headset angle adjustment) - so wash upside down.

if you want to win races ride an M9

Downhiller

Strength:

Best acting suspension I ever experienced. Huggs ground like no other. High cranks clear anything. Cornering is amazing (better than my shorter M3). Multiple settings to fit many preferences (One time only setup for me). More burly than previous DH versions (slight weight increase).

Weakness:

Noisy pivots, put in a spacer but problem not completely solved. No rear shock fender...painful custom build. Not great for jumping (sends you long instead of high) but acceptable.

Great quality bike and as fun to ride. Fast, fast, fast and confidence building. Slightly annoying pivot issues.
