    Strength:

Fast, Amazingly smooth on rough stuff, Stable at speeds, Stiff. Floating rear brake works great! Pedals extremely well. No pedal bob, feels like you are pedaling a bike that weighs half as much.

    Weakness:

Heavy, not the most nimble on tight technichal switchbacks. Bike is not quiet through the rough stuff, makes alot of noise. Makes Fun trails seem to easy. Trails are alot less challenging on a 2.1 mono and they can get boring.

It is very important to have the suspension setup for your weight, riding style, etc. Do not expect the shock to perform well without air pressure or the proper spring. This is true for any suspension though? Coming from a 7 inch freeride bike, The foes makes the old bike feel as if it was a hardtail. The mono gets smoother the faster you go. this bike gives you so much confidence.

    Strength:

Frame was strong and looked the part, Foes Customer service good to

    Weakness:

( i had read reviews before i bought my Foes and i could not see one downfall/weakness ) Anyway i bought my frame brand new in 2007 which was ALOT of money, i did not care about the money though as this was a Foes, anyway the frame was then took to my house and was immediately built up, i took it on the trial near me the following morning ( its not that difficult ) hit the bottom tabletop ( 19ft ) landed and the shock bottomed, i tested the pressure and it was gone empty, the shock was the curnutt with a 400lb TI spring ( im only 9 and a half stone wet ), the shock seals had blew on my first run ( how i dont know as the bike hit nothing hard until the bottom tabletop ), i got the shock replaced under warranty ( which took forever ) and when i got back on the bike the incorrect spring had been fitted ( by whom i dont no ) and the bike was sagging approx 4 inches ! The curnutt was designed by a young man whos father raced in the dakar.......YOU SHOULD OF LET HIM BUILD IT !!!!

Disappointing to say the least, always wanted a Foes and it was a huuuuge let down, maybe just bad luck and a one off on there behalf but when your paying £2500 for a frame I expect NO mistakes,

    Strength:

Very smooth shock that swallow everything: rock slide, jumps. Very cool and safe riding everywhere.I like technical trails. That's the perfect tool.

    Weakness:

Few pounds less will be better.

Higher price means more long-term value. You can race this frame for 5 years on World Cup and everything is still perfect. Future is now: don't wait. Buy a Foes 2.1!

    Strength:

this frame is the best dh frame available, the quality is amazing, the performance is even better. It feels like a small travel bike when pumping, jumping and cornering, but when you hit a big section the curnutt shock takes every thing you can throw at it.

    Weakness:

    none

You will not find a better dh bike than the new foes 2:1 dhs mono, it out performes all the bikes listed above by miles, it is way ahead of its time in comparison to all other dh bikes available at the moment.it is the fastest race bike out there, plus it is so well made you will never break it.
    Well worth the money...............

    Strength:

stays planted no matter what, great shock feel, awesome quality welds. real solid frame

    Weakness:

Waaay pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Great bike, worth saving up for. Make sure to 3m clearcoat the downtube because you don't want such a frame getting all scratched up!

By far the best bike for DH racing i have ever used, especially the fork.

    Weakness:

well.... its nine thousand dollars, thats a pretty hefty price.

If you are a SERIOUS DH racer, but this bike, if your ot, steer clear, trust me, you don't need it!

    Strength:

The design, and the way this bike hugs tight singletrack, and handles drop's

    Weakness:

None, some may say the price but, if that bothers you buy something else. The wait for this frame was a pain but well worth it

This is a great bike. My bike is like 40 pounds, but feels much lighter. It handles anything that can be thrown at it, tight single track, rock gardens, drops, all with no problem.
