Strength:

Super strong RAD frame, hydraulic discs, great mix of overall, XT and Raceface components.

Weakness:

Manitou X-vert and stock headset. The manitou can't handle the big hits and if left in the headset will ovalize your headtube(could be big bucks to rapair!)

This is quite possibly the best freeride hardtail that's ever been built. It's a great downhill/freeride bike and is nimble enough to haul around the XC trails. Other than the weaknesses listed above the only thing I have to do is true the rear wheel every couple of months, otherwise it's bombproof! I recommend this bike to anyone who wants a top of the line hardtail and who likes big drops and jumps, downhill and anything else. Brodie has the finger on the pulse of the West Coast Freeride craze and has the best line up out there.

Strength:

strong frame, xt components.

Weakness:

titec seat post folded over, manitou x-verts didn't make it out the shop

the bike is decent for all types of riding, its great for downhill stuff on the trail and could be competitive in the odd downhill race. perfect dual slalom bike but is o.k for riding xc if you don't mind the weight. This bike could be a lot better if it came with a marzocchi long travel fork because the manitou really drags it down.

Strength:

Everything, the way the guys set up their bikes @ Brodie has some real majic to it. Everything flows together perfectly for a smooth, and pretty light top end hardtail (for free-riding). The fat tubes and tires make it feel like a soft tail. Frame is beautiful, bike wheelies straight forever. Couldn't ask for a better free-ride hardtail..impossible.

Weakness:

None

You'd be stupid not to buy this kick ass machine. Don't be cruel to yourself...buy one. I have yet to ride a better hardtail.

Strength:

stiff frame - no gussetts needed, ability to throw around in tight terrain, jumps like a bunny on crack! frameset comes with touchup paint :)

Weakness:

the bike looks so good there are too many people who stare at your bike - it gets annoying.

This bike is sick. Not only does it inspire you to pilot huge airs, but it is fun to practice manuals on it. The beefy easton RAD tubing is so ridiculously stiff, and yet it gives some compliance to a harsh ride. What i love the most is the s-bend seatstays, thick 1 inch square seat stays that look beautiful, but give a stout rear triangle.

I would recommend this bike to anyone who desires urban epics or insanely technical trail riding. This frame can take the long haul of a sherman tank anyday. 5 flaming sluts for dream performance at a dream price.

Strength:

Strong
Stiff
Sweet Geometry
Everything else...

Weakness:

NONE

I bought this frame (bigshot) used and built it up with xc parts (soon to be replaced) and christened it for its first ride on the Shore today!!! Sweetest frame ever... I rode the best I had ever rode and I swear it was due to this frame. Just point and go, the thing is stable at any speed, in the air... it's great for technical and big hits! and it climbs amazingly well for a freeride hardtail! Buy this frame if you want a bike that can handle anything you throw at it and feels at home in ANY conditions! Probably the best, and last, all around bike that I will ever own! :)

Strength:

Gee...everything..almost everything...Great frame, great component Spec

Weakness:

The Manitou is a bit too Stiff, and tended to BLOW APART... (well MINE did)

God....just buy one!!! they are SWEEEEEET. For drops and stuff, they're a bit harsh, but I mean, it's a hardtail, live with it. It can handle anything you throw yourself off of. just, replace the Manitou before you do anything that involves you hurling yourself off a 7 foot+ bridge, cuz...you...migt blow the forks innards to pieces on the trail..and that sucks...(speaking from personla experience)

strong tubes, strong brakes, awesome fork, every thing

Weakness:

the xvert supers adjuster knobs hit down tube when turned half or past.Ijust took them off no problem.

I do a whole lot more freeriding than racing so this bike is kind of the race bike too.Every thing the other guys said on this review is pretty much right. the bike just feels perfect fom the second you get on it. Ive been doing all kinds of stuff ive never done before after getting this bike.Good parts . I got an awesome deal on it
(2300cdn)so they are even better. If a kick a$$ freeride hardtail this is the bike ther are no others that are nearly as good.

Strength:

Unreal feel once in the saddle, super strong tubing for confidence and the best component package for the buck. Plus awesome warranty back up.

Weakness:

The paint job doesn't match my shoes, I look a bit queer when I ride!

This bike is the sh*t for sure. I test road all the free ride hardtails out this year and nothing had a better feal in the air and on the ground. Weight should not be an issue with these bikes, I am at 38 pounds right now and can still climb to the top of the trails. Learn how the bike rides and use it right. This bike is definitley what you want if you are into urban assaults. I never thought I would ride such a fat beefy bike the way I do now but this bike makes you fearless on the drops, it loves it rough. Go spank your bike!
