This is a great value, as has been said in the preceding reviews. The frame is awesome, as you gain ability you upgrade parts!!!! Thats what I had roomy do, he's about to step-up fork, tires, and maybe shock (fox, cane creek, statos, risse). If you can find a deal on this bike, grab it....

Strength:

Awesome frame for the price. Strut Swing-link combo is a proven suspension design. Cool color combination.

Weakness:

RST fork is worthless. Limited rear shock upgrade options. Poorly located front derailleur and rear disc cable guide locations.

I chose this bike because of it's frame design and the price. The whole bike costs less than comparable frames. This maked it practical to completely upgrade just about every component. I now have a custom bike for the same price of an off the self model.
The suspension is a modified MacPherson Strut that incorporates an inverted swing-link for lateral stiffness. The linkage system eliminates any noticable flex. My frame is the medium size and it has 3" of travel. That's perfect for XC riding. It climbs surfooted and desends with confidence. The Attack is worth buying. You can upgrade it step by step or all at once.

Strength:

Adjustable rear suspension with rebound control.
very smooth ride without many noticeable handling problems.
shifted very smoothly with stock SRAM 7.0's
Seat is comfortable.
Comes stock with disk - ready hubs.
Front shock surprisingly good for an "off brand"

Weakness:

The brakes...nuff said
Stock handlebars may be a bit too wide for many riders especially on tight singletrack.
A tendency to sideslip (this could be rider technique tho)
Front deraleur all plastic design SRAM 5.0

This bike is a good value for money. (DO NOT pay anywhere near MSRP please! Go see Chris at Atlanta Pro Bicycle).

It is NOT the best full suspension bike going, but I knew that going in. It beat the Marin which was priced higher with lower spec! It is the best available for what I paid for it.

Price conscious buyers who absolutely want a full suspension bike and who may not desire to be the racing studs of the universe will love this bike. Weekend warriors go in style and comfort!

With two discs in my back that would deny me the joys of mountain biking on a hard tail, I cannot say enough about a bike which allows me to enjoy this sport at this reasonable price point.

Strength:

Light, climbs well! Good components, nice crank!

Weakness:

Probably forks.. they rebound pretty violently sometimes... but, I've hardly been able to bottom them with the adjusters turned up all the way.

I've had the bike about a month and a half. Thoroughly
pleased! I ride so much more now with this bike. I was instantly faster.. it accelerates great! The weight feels really light to me.. it must carry it well. The thing climbs really well.. if you tighten up the shock's pre-load and stiffen up the rebound adjuster, it is almost hardtail like on climbs. For descending then, just reverse the adjustments... works like a champ! This bike has changed my outlook towards F.S. bikes and riding in general. I got a ripping deal on top of it all! 5 and 5!! no doubt about it!

None really.. hardtails.. so take my comments w/that grain of salt.

Strength:

Frame, Value

Weakness:

SRAM, stock components. I crushed both the middle and big chainring on the stock Truvativ Cranks.

This is a great bike for the money. The stock components are a little weak. However, this is a good deal if you are making the move from hardtail to Full Suspension. I had also read on MTBR that the stock fork was bad so I had it replaced before it left the shop. The mega air 100 is a great fork. After a few more upgrades, this will be a great ride. If you are looking to build up or customize a full suspension, this is a great frame/bike to start with.

Strength:

Great frame, handles well, light 28.5 lbs. nice rear shock, good support from sram, k2

Weakness:

Front forks suck, they have no damping and are soft. SRAM Shifters mishift sometimes. prefer shimano rapid fire

Great bike for the price, Just upgrade the forks and shorten the grip shifters. clean shifting on level ground. good handling. Best priced bike for the quality except for the RST forks the junk.

Strength:

FRAME, DEFINETLY THE FRAME, AND REAR SHOCK.

Weakness:

Parts kinda suck, but the frame rules!

This is such a sweet bike!!!! I love it. The frame and rear shock are awesome. If you are a hard-core rider, you may want to put shamano parts on such as crank, and derailuers. Wheelset will last for a while. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE FRAME AND REAR SHOCK RULES.

Strength:

This bike flat out hauls for the money. The parts selection is very good and the bike handles well in all kind of situations. you will not have to upgrade your parts other then the cheap fork

Weakness:

the only weakness this bike haves is the fork it is light years behind the times

This bike is the real deal it proves that you do not have to spend thousands of dollars to have a quality full suspension bike. Buy the bike upgrade the fork and develope a long relationship with your new friend.

Strength:

Solid SRAM 7 drivetrain. Nice paint. Stiff frame. Disk-brake ready hubs. Solid Tru-V crank and head-set. Lighter than any other bikes in its price range.

Weakness:

Only thing that you might want to upgrade is the forks. However, if your under 220 pounds and you don't drop off cliffs don't bother.

This is a great bike. The rear shock is impressive.
SRAM 7 drivetrain on a bike under 1600CAD is top value.
The bike is way lighter than the Giant and even the Specialized. It rides fast and feels hardtail stiff up hill.
Unbelievable component selection for this price range. A very capable full-suspension x-country ride.
