Strength:

It jumps, corners, and pedals better than any 8" travel bike out there. Its low profile and progressive travel will help anyone who knows how to ride a bike.

Weakness:

The linkage in the rear will come loose but I had no problem tightening it(had to take the cranks off, though).

This frame is light, responsive, and looks great. I liked my intense but the travel was very linear. The Cheeta pedals like a 4" travel bike. It is also about a pound lighter and a couple of hundred dollars less than the big companies out there. If you want a bike that will help you jump, manual, and race like a pro, get this bike.

Strength:

the bike is very strong the structure of the bike is amazing

Weakness:

there are no weaknesses, just tighten the linkage up every few weeks which takes 2 minutes!!

overall this bike has been amazing i have only had it a month and its the best bike iv riden it corners amazin its so fast on the downhill. and if you like freeride you will not be disapointed this it so strong you can jump off anything! and when you ride long distance there is hardly and pedal bob due to the awsome linkage.

Strength:

High Quality Construction, Great frame/suspension geometry. When you call they ship frame based on riding style and size and weight of the rider. They also gave me my choice of two rear spring tensionsload options. They even offered a different powder coating color for the swing arm. Same if not better quality of Intense, Remec, Cortina and frame is much less expensive and sharp looking

Weakness:

2001 has better swing arm hardware but only come in powder coating. 2000 model swing arm is comes polished but hardware is not as as high quality. Hardware meaning bolts and pivots not frame material or spring material

The bike is a solid performer and worth the money. again several hundred dollars below that of the competitors products. I was given special attention when placing my order and even inquired to be a reseller. Good customer service is hard to find and Cheeta cycles has good service. I hope they continue to have this when they gain market share :)

Similar Products Used: Like any other bike in regards to metal and welding however size and overall geometry makes it a great performer. I rate it up there along with Cortina's DHExtreme 8, Intense's M1 and GT's DHI. Compared frames only such as weight, rear travel and materials. components vary depending on how its built.

Strength:

Extremely supple in rough, nothing under 6 inches is even noticed. Pedals as well if not better than any big name out there. Lighter than Intense, Turner, Karpiel, and Santa Cruz.

Weakness:

Needle bearings in a secondary pivot not quite tight(same on Yeti dh8, Schwinn 8, M-1) not a problem.

This bike rocks, it really floats over things very well. The low bottom bracket and agressive head angle make it a turn master. If you can find a fork set-up to match the rear-end the trails seem a lot easier than they should.

Strength:

incredible working suspension, very tight in corners, solid for freeriding

Weakness:

bearings and linkages

i was so happy when i got my bike. when i first rode it it was the best thing i ever dropped with. i noticed a little bit of play on the linkage when i got it but the previous owner assured me it was ok. i never saw this type of linkage before, so i had no idea how to check it, so i thought it must be ok. well, just a few small 5 foot drops later, the whole linkage and bearings shattered. the only bearing that DIDNT break was the needle bearing, but it has been worn a little loose. the linkage arms broke and when this happened, they smashed into the swingarm, causing severe damage. I really love this bike and feel it could be fixed with stronger bearings and a new linkage, but have yet to get anyone on the phone at the company.

Strength:

Great stability at speed, great small bump performance.

Weakness:

CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited 8 monthes for a new frame after breaking every piece on it. I replaced my linkage 3 times, and then cracked the frame. Customer service is horrible. I kept being told I would recieve a new frame the next week for 8 monthes.

It's a good bike for the first 3 monthes. Then when you break bearings...and you WILL, don't ask them to replace them because they will screw you over. THis not only happend to me, but also 2 of my buddies that had the same bikes and the SAME problems. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE.
