Strength:

4130 chromoly makes this bike nearly indestructable and if you do break it, Standard will replace it without questions. Looks nice and cool graphics. Good (standard) geometry with steep HT angle and short stays which makes the bike extremely responsive. Good handeling in the air and the best speed jumper ever.

Weakness:

I only could find one with 990´s in Holland (contact me if you want to trade yours with cantis!)A bit more flex than I´m used to and it needs some time to get its momentum. Extremely expensive in Holland...paid $800 for the frame alone!

Very good alround bike: takes its fair amount of abuse at the trails, yet light enough for serious racing.

Let's get this straight, this is a review for the 2000 TRLS250. It's a super strong bike. I drilled the dropouts out for 14mm drops. Light weight for being as strong as it is. In 2 years, I have jumped it, done grinds on it (a lot) learned a bunch of tricks, and yes, on occasion tossed it too.

Weakness:

None.

I got it instead of an STA because it was lighter, and haven't been dissapointed at all. For a while it was really heavy, but that's my fault. It will hold up to anything, and if you brake it, Standard buys you a new one. Is that clear? If you want the best, get the new R-model version with air hardened tubing. Sweet. If you don't want the best, don't get a standard.

Strength:

good strong light frame, good for racing or dirt jumping
better than aluminum frames (it wont brake if you miss a jump).

Weakness:

none that i can think of

If you need a good racing bike this bike cant be beat.
I have since got in to dirt jumping and street riding.
This frame would be good for jumping but if you want to ride
street or ramps try the standard sta or lenthy. If you want more info e-mail me.

Strength:

100% Chromoly Frame, Standard Byke Company will replace frame no questions asked if damaged, perfect geometry.

Weakness:

only inferior to the new Standard 125R model because the 125R model has air-hardened chromoly making it lighter than aluminum and stronger than regular chromoly.

There is no better race bike on the market than the Standard 125R Model. Although I'd rather have the R model, if someone wanted to sell a Bicycle Motocross to me w/ 990 mounts for $100 bux I would take it, considering the amazing guarantee by Standard no matter how many owners the bike has had.

Strength:

Well designed, well made, really nice geometry, good quality, nice to ride. A modern classic.

Weakness:

None that I found.

This is the best BMX bike I've ever owned. Quite light, fairly strong for a race/trails bike, and really good geometry. Standard make quality products. I sold this bike after crashing a barspin attempt and breaking my collarbone (the bike was fine) cos I quit riding for a bit. But now I really regret it and am saving up for another Standard - probably the R-Model or Trails 250 (cos they don't make the Bicycle Motocross Model anymore).
