Strength:

Great Bike. It will go up any hill you can pedal and will go down the other side if you can hang on.

Weakness:

X5 componets and the FSA crank

This is a great full suspension all mountain bike. I have ridden this bike on downhill courses with no problems and no bottom outs where most all others have 8"+ of travel.

Strength:

Stong, Stiff, Great geometry for all mountain riding.

Weakness:

Bit hefty frame weight but not noticable on the trail. Could do with a shock upgrade.

I built this bike up from scratch to use for some trail riding, light downhill and try it out on the 4X.
I was impressed with how comfy this bike is to ride considering the rear shock has little adjustment and that the weight didn't feel like an issue.
It even jumps well. the only downside is it's a little heavy for 4X but a lighter build would help.
It puts up with a heap of punnishment and still goes for more. In it's price bracket it's the best all rounder bike you'll find if only they kept making them.

forks, wheels, shifters, tires

Weakness:

brakes are a little iffy at first, rear shock is hard to adjust while on the trails

i love iron horse grew up on mavericks but went further and got this i really like once u get the right upgrades and really make it your own. and I would rec amend an iron horse if they still made them.

Strength:

super strong frame. takes a beating everytime i give it one. Endless grip in the rear. shifts quicker than my other full suspension bikes. much tougher than my treks

Weakness:

hydraulic brakes make it difficult to change pads (but with the stopping power it gives i can't complain). would be nice if there was o guard on the crank. pedals suck

i love this bike. by far it is the toughest bike i have ever had the chance to ride. i like downhill which the bike can handle without a problem but where i live there isn't much chance for me to get some downhill action so i ride mostly xc when the downhill season is over. the bike handle's well on the long all day rides through snow and rain. i think it is great for beginners new to downhill riding. happy with mine, i would recommend it to anyone

Strength:

Indestructable frame
vanilla R
FSA crankset

Weakness:

No cust support. Iron horse is out of business :(
BB5 Mech. Brakes
Sorta heavy (35.6 lbs.)

The bottom line: I wasnt expecting much from this bike because i was new to the iron horse brand. It has exceeded my expectations on every level. The thing climbs like nothing. It will take whatever you throw at it and come back for more. i would recommend this bike to beginners who are just getting into riding AM or a seasoned vet who doesnt want to blow 5-6 grand on a bike when they can spend 5-6 hundred and get a product that is almost exact in quality. Get em before theyr'e all gone!!!

Strength:

Great bike for the price, well made sturdy handles the trails very nice.

Weakness:

Not happy with the Avid 5 brakes, and the coil fox rear schock is a bit weak.

Great bike for the price, and excellent if you are just getting back on the trails or are on a budget. Good sturdy frame, good set up for future upgrades.

Strength:

Great bike for the beginning mtn biker. Not bad for the $$$.

Weakness:

Not a heavy bike, but not the lighest either. Really wish the front fork had a lockout feature!

I am very pleased with this bike. It has held up very well on my rides. Just had it's maintenance done and there were no problems with the bike. Will be looking into a few upgrades next year but otherwise I would recommend this bike to the new rider in search of an economical mtn bike that can handle the trail.

Strength:

seems to be a solid bike. climbs easily and takes a beating everytime i get a chance to ride it with no problem.

Weakness:

it is heavy. the weight doesn't seem to affect the climbs but it sure does feel heavy when you have to get off and carry the bike uphill.

if money wasn't an issue then i would have sprung for the specialized or yeti but now that i have been riding the 6.0 with no problems i'm glad i didn't. i would recommend this bike to anyone.

Strength:

Climbs much better than I expected. Affordable and sturdy.

Weakness:

Mainly its components. I had to replace the pedals and the crankset after the first few rides.

I love this bike. I'm a little sad that I replaced some of the components so soon after I bought it(hence the four chilis) but the replacements only made the bike that much more better. If you are looking for an affordable bike to do some XC, All mountain and or light downhill riding then this ones for you.

MikeStanfill   Weekend Warrior [Sep 03, 2008]
Strength:

The Warrior 6.0 is a sturdy frame that comes with decent components. The single pivot system is low maintenance (good for people new to full suspension) and the geometry is perfect.

Weakness:

The rear shock is a piece of crap. It feels as if there's lag between when pressure is taken off of it to when the rebound dampening kicks in (even with the rebound turned all the way down) The for is a little soft, and feels as if the rebound adjustment nob is about to break off. The brakes are kind of weak, especially under a lot of pressure.

The bike is great for beginners and handles well under speed, as well as in the air. It would be better if they threw a better fork and rear shock, but, hey, for the price I got it for, I'm happy with what I have.

Recommendation: Get front and rear air suspension.
