Strength:

great price, relatively well spec., outstanding frame, adjustable geometry, and amazing warranty. Very little pedal bob. Great value and rides amazing.

Weakness:

the stock components on the bike are on the lower end and in result wear and break relatively fast. This of course comes with the cheaper price tag on the bike.

I have been riding this bike for about 2 years now. The stock package of the Prophet 6 is very good. All the components have lasted very well the only things that I change due to excessive wear were the hubs/wheelset, cassette, and grips. All those items were changed after owning the bike for about 1-1.5 year which is a little quicker them some of the slightly higher end components (excluding race class stuff I.E. XTR, X.0). Everything else was change base on personal preference. The stock fork is very plush, slightly heavy but plush and easy to use. The rear shock radium r is alright, bottoms out easily once you start doing drops over 5 ft even w/ transitions. The suspension design of the prophet is very stiff which allows very little bob while climbing, but once the suspension is compress past 30 percent it becomes much more plush. For that reason its a great bike to use for practically everything. I have had no issue with flex in the rear swingarm at all so the frame it self is relative stiff for descending. The adjustable geometry is great, the XC position allows for a better climb and singletrack handling making 40 mile rides pleasurable on a 5.5 inch bike. While the FR position makes the bike much more plush allowing it to go to lift access trails or simply any steep technical trails.

Very amazing bike, worth every penny. For the price the lowest model is available at it is a steal.

Strength:

Very versatile, well balanced, feels great under you, climbs well and descends even better. looks great.

Weakness:

a tad heavy

I love this bike. It's my first full suspension and after spending 10 years on a GT hardtail, I was aprehensive about loosing pedaling efficiency and gaining weight. But after a couple of amazing trial rides I have no more doubts. This bike is a beautifully engineered all-mountain machine.

Strength:

In canada the bike comes with marazocchi Am3 instead of the lower AM4 that comes on the bike in the states. Good omponent set up. Good defeniion of an all mountian bike. on this bike you can change the headtube angle to 69 degrees for XC or to 67.5 degrees forfreeride. Manito radium r shock is not bad.

Weakness:

pedals need to be changed the bike comes with the weird strap in pedals. manito radium r shock is not the greatest but it does the job.

This bike is the perfect definetion of a all mountian bike. Before choosing this bike i looked around at other all mountain bikes and found that lots of them were only for one riding style. Some allmountians like the norco fluid 2 were aimed more twords cross country but the norco six two was aimed more to the freeriding. The prophet has a good mix allowing you to do XC with out any problems and lets you do a fair amount of freeriding. For me this was the perfect bike i could go do some XC for part of the ride and then go hit some jumps at the end of the ride. Thois bike works well for freeriders who want to still ride trails. I dont recomend this bike if all you do is freeride or if you do heavy freeride.

Strength:

Very comfortable ride, easy to maintain with componentry and mechanical disk brakes.

Weakness:

Weight, the stock handlebars are a bit wide, I like a narrower grip

This is a fun bike, Its nice to lock out the rear shock for the long climb and open it up for a nice smooth downhill ride. Both front and back shocks are very adjustable to get the desired feel. The bike has far exceeded my expectations.
