Strength:

Climbs well in spite of weight, great price for an AM bike which is $659 on airborne website but shipping and tax put it to $751. Confidence inspiring handling does well on the downhill, jumps great. Nice looking bike.

Weakness:

I Don't like the kenda kinetics.. i swapped out to maxxis advent and ignitor tires. the rims are heavy but durable ill keep those for shuttle sessions but will swap out to lighter rims soon. Although the suspension is doing its job (I'm 160lbs) theres not much for adjustability.

I love my Marauder it truly is an all mountain bike. I don't notice the extra weight (which is in those rims and tires) on climbs and i do long sessions. Once i swapped out tires the suspension works sweet on down hill runs this bike is really comfortable in the air. The suspension is simple but effective, ill be hammering the stock set up for awhile before i upgrade that to something with a little more adjustability. It felt like a gamble when i first ordered it online but now i can't wait till the next time i ride. If you are an AM rider on a budget like me you will enjoy this simple and durable bike.

This bike is awesome compared to what I us to ride Wichita was an elsworth isis but they only reason is cause of the 3 exta inches of travel cause I do alot of free ride around town and do alot of down hill but it could use alittle better forks and possibly a better shock and it does way alot more than my elsworth did but it is a great jumper and is good for what it was built to do And havent had to do any keep up on it since iv had it

Strength:

Price, components, frame

Weakness:

front derailuer

This bike has a strong frame, good components, and you can't beat the price. My total came to $807.57 with tax and shipping. It also arrived the day after I ordered it. The catch is that it is not fully assembled when you get it, but it goes together easy. I have done serveral trail rides with this bike and it jumps well, handles 4 foot drops no problem and it flies downhill, it's only real short coming is that it is heavy and does not climb quickly, but if you do climb with it you will end up in good shape. The front derailuer is also not great, but it works for now. I love this bike.

My rig is a 2010 Airborne Bicycles Marauder. I purchased it in January of this year. It's a Freeride rig with 6 inches of travel. I've been riding it nearly daily since i got it. I love to ride on the dirt, but unfortunately where I live, there aren't very many trails. So i have to make due with what i have. In turn my Marauder sees a lot of urban freeriding assaults. But don't worry, it spends plenty of time on the dirt singletrack and even some rocky Ozark terrain. It hasn't let me down yet, tackles anything I put in its way. Be it rock gardens, roots, step-ups, drop-offs, dirt jumps, staircases... You name it, it can take it.

Weakness:

Could us lock-on grips.

I've put my Marauder through some punishment and it has taken everything i have thrown at it and then some. Bike feels great in any condition be it mud, snow, loose pack or hard pack singletrack, downhill, and even urban freeriding. It stays stable and maneuverable in even the worst of situations. The Spinner Cargo 340 fork works great, takes a lot of punishment. I haven't bottomed it out yet and I've hit some 5 and 6 foot drop offs. The Marzocchi Coil F shock that its coupled up with works amazing. Crisp response and takes everything you can put it through from small bumps to drop offs and rock gardens. The Tektro Novela 203mm mechanical discs help you come to a stop when blistering down the trails. The Shimano and Sram drive-train is amazing. Fast and reliable, and coupled with the FSA Dyna Drive 22/32t crank with bashguard you can go just about anywhere. Makes climbing pretty easy considering the weight of the bike. The bashguard will save your chainrings from getting beat up on rocks, roots and other obstacles. The WTB wheels are nice and sturdy. Hubs roll smoothly letting you go as fast as possible down the trails. The Kalloy 670mm wide bars allow for great response and handling but yet keeping you narrow enough to make it through tight technical areas. And the Kalloy seat post coupled with the WTB Pure V sport saddle allow comfortable seating. All in all, great bike, great spec list and a great price at $699.95. I suggest you check out Airborne Bicycle's website at http://www.airbornebicycles.com/ and grab yourself one today.

Strength:

THE BIKE. Tires, rims, fork, shock, gearing, brakes, over-all feel dh and in the air. looks way cool, i love the flat blue color. o ya and the PRICE !!!!

Weakness:

weight. way freakin heavy up hill, but makes for a great solid dh feel. fork pretty soft but at 140lbs i can drop 4ft to flat and not bottom it, if i land properly utilizing the rear shock.

This is an AWESOME bike for the PRICE. both words in capitals cant be emphasized enough. anything like this will cost you at least double or even triple. if you are thinking about this bike then you are a smart person and should probably buy it. it is truly a freeride bike which means its heavy and dh friendly, but can still get you up a climb. it will drop 5 maybe 6 feet on a good hill no problem, stock. and its jus itchin for upgrades. this bike loves the ski resorts in the summer (i jus hit bigbear/snowsummit). don't spend $1600 on a kona stinky or $2200 on a stumpjumper... its not worth it. the airborne marauder is. support this company and hopefully they will put out some more sick models and versions. as long as this thing doesn't fall apart after a year ill never buy anything else.

Strength:

The stock tires are a beastly 2.6" with incredible traction. SRAM X-5 Trigger shifters. SRAM X-8 rear derailleur. Huge brake discs. Components are amazing for the price paid.

Weakness:

Fork may be 150mm but bottoms out very easily, even with preload set all the way tight - upgrade to ride mountains/downhill.
Quite heavy at 38lb, but definitely still ride-able.
Handlebars are quite wide, but you can cut them.

Great quality bike for the price. Definitely upgrade fork to go off drops and big jumps and to ride downhill. Components are incredible for such a cheap bike. This bike will handle most all-mountain stuff and would be able to handle most everything with an upgraded fork.
A very burly and quality bike for >$1000.
