Strength:

Bike is a true do all! Handles drops and descends like a dream and still climbs and rips flowey single track super well.

Weakness:

I feel like the paint finish is a bit weak... Seems to scratch and mark up easy.

Strength:

Climbing, rollover capability and nimble for a 29er. Bottom bracket height is at just the right placement to avoid almost all rock strikes while keeping the center of gravity low.

Weakness:

Small trade off between the most nimble and light weight 27.5's. I've personally had a few problems with the Eagle rear derailleur. A bit heavy unless going into the top price specs.

Picked up this bike to bridge the gap between my nimble SC 5010 and plush SJ 6fattie. In the end I sold both of my other bikes and ride the yeti on everything. Tested all three on an intermediate loop with climbs, drops, rock gardens etc.; the Yeti took between 1 to 2 min's off the section times. It's not as nimble as the 5010 or plush as the fattie but so close to both while greatly increasing climbing and rolling efficiency that the trade off is insignificant. Bottom line, the Yeti is more fun to ride all day on every trail!

Strength:

climbing; and especially descending with the rear shock opened up and seat dropped.. you can stand up on the pedals on climbing and no lose and energy into sagging..

Weakness:

Yeti put on the fox rear shock which caused a lot of knocking noise. Bike shop warrantied the shock for me and the new one did the same.. I hope Yeti is figuring this out with fox.. Bike shop replaces the Fox rear with Rock Shock and it works great!

Now that i have the bugs worked out with replacing the rear shock, this bike is amazing, light and climbs and descends better than any bike i've head yet. I replace my bikes every other year so i've ridden lots of different bikes over the years....
