Strength:

Well, it can tip over and not shatter. Does perform the basic function of holding up my bike, but that's about it. Oh, and came with a nice tray for holding tools and parts.

Weakness:

Does not really fold up. If you unscrew a bolt and twist the base and break it into 2 pieces, you can fit it in a medium-sized closet.
Weighs about what my bike weighs.
Came with a bent screw for locking the stem in place.
Height adjustment is really only 2 spots, 10 cm's apart. Wow!

Hopefully returnable, which, being a male, I'll probably never get around to. Spend your $$$ on something else.

Similar Products Used: Friend's old "crappy" stand which was much better.
Tree out back which was about as good, with better height adjustment.

Strength:

Quality build. Ultra competetive price. Excellent clamp. Easy storage.

Weakness:

Not 100% stable due to small footprint, but only noticable when rotating bike.

My trusted supplier said not to touch anything less than £150, but got me one of these in anyway. We set it up in shop, and we both were amazed at this product. I would not hesitate in recommending this item to anyone

Strength:

a) Price
b) Simple and solid construction, it only takes about a minute to assemble/dismantle and packs away to about 75cm x 25cm x 25cm (although you don't get a sexy bag to put it in like the expensive Park models!)
c) Nice rotating clamp design.

Weakness:

Maybe not 100% stable if you rotate the bike through 360 degrees when clamped to the top tube - the legs probably need to be a bit longer.
Only got two height positions which are about 10cm apart.

For the price, this work stand is great value. It costs about £80 (UK pounds) in England, probably less elsewhere (as with everything), so if you cannot afford the Park stuff but want a rotating, clamp design, this may be the stand for you.

Similar Products Used: Used a mates folding Park stand which was very nice but at over 4 times the price this one is good value.

This stand has all the faetures I need (360 degree rotational clamp, height adjustment, portable and stable). Compared to the cost of the Park stands, its a bargain.Don't know what £79 is in $ though.

Strength:

Cheap compared to park, easy to use and put together, folds down into small box, useful fot those who lack space to have it standing at all times.

Weakness:

Not entirely stable when holding front heavy bike

A cheap and quality stand, more than a match for the park ones which cost double. Great for those on a budget and those with little or no storage space. Cheap, easy and quality!

Chris Lopes   Weekend Warrior [Jan 06, 2004]
Strength:

constructed from strong steel, came with a tool tray, and it was cheap!

Weakness:

It's definately not portable (relatively heavy and large), forget about adjusting the height more than a couple of inches, it can only clamp onto my seatpost and not the frame of the bike since the clamp doesn't open enough, & not very stable.

This product is plain out junk. I wanted something with more height adjustment, that would clamp onto my frame, and would have some hope of being portable. I really liked that it came with a tool tray but, it doesn't compensate for the rest of this product's flaws. It is better than nothing but, trust me it's worth spending the extra $20.00 to buy a better model or get a different brand. Once again, I've learned that you pay for what you get.

Strength:

Cost - its cheap
Ease of use - one handed adjustable clamp with soft jaws

Weakness:

Not stable enough to rotate bike through 360 degrees when clamped on seat post.

It works. It'll clamp on the seat post or on the top tube. Other than rotating the bike through 360 degrees when clamped on the seat post its fine. Excellent value for money even at UK prices.
