Strength:

Nice Flood angle, good spill, good transition from the spot to flood, great peripheral coverage. Come with both handlebar and helmet mounts. Plenty of light and crash worthy, designed for motorcyclists.

Weakness:

Battery pack could stand a better way of mounting to forks with a neoprene container and velcro straps. As it is, it has a belt clip mount. I ended up buying a padded camera case at Best Buy and some velcro straps at a 99 cent store, and improvising, strapping it between my triple crown on my fbsorks.

Nothing comes close to the quality an output of this HID light for the price, except self build LED's with Cree R2 bins with lenses.

It does everything the L&M does, at half the price. Uses the same exact bulb, with a different reflector that is outstanding in giving uniform light to the areas you need to see.

I've mounted my light under the handlebars, to give it more protections from accidents. It also allows you to rotate the light when the bike is upside down to an area on the bike so you can use the light to illuminate hands free, the area you need to work on (think removing tires and rims in the dark to fix flats.) One light has been more than adequate for me, they do offer a 2 light handlebar/helmet kit, for a bit more money, at half the run time on the same battery.

Direct marketed, hence the price and savings to you, the end customer. This is marketed as a motorcycle light, where the speeds and impacts, and visibility needs are greater that for mountain biking. It works outstandingly in a mountain bike night riding application, where almost all speeds are slower than when on a motorcycle. Comes with 2 mounts, take your pick. Adequate for everyone except the most hard core, weight weenie, extreme rider, who usually has a sponsor to pay for their goodies, because they are semi or even pro.

I give it 5 flaming chiles for value. It's the best HID value out there and 5 chiles because it's such a great flame thrower of a light for the price, 570 lumens on a handlebar mount currently is kick butt.
