Strength:

Absolutely waterproof. Probably could be used for personal floatation (But don't try this at home). Very strong, big enough for helmet, lock, dry clothes, food and anything else you might need to bring on a ride or hang on to when you've reached your destination

Weakness:

The zipper does need to be lubed with silicone-based lube fairly frequently or the zipper will not seal. Also, because to the low friction material of the bag, it can slide around on steep, bumpy descents unless all straps are cinched tight.

This bag has stood up to much abuse here in the wet Pacific Northwest. It has never leaked, and it often rides in the back of my truck to and from very rainy trail rides. It is comfortable and very functional. for commuting or general errands it is a great bag. Access to the contents is not as easy as a flap-style bag, so it is probably not for messengers, but it will keep everything absolutely dry with no possibility of leakage or seepage. Overall, a serious bag for those of us who have no choice but to ride in the rain on a regular basis.
